The latest Rasmussen Poll {7/22} shows Ron Paul competitive with Obama right now. Obama has only 41% support with Ron Paul at 37% and rising.

The Texas Congressman joins Mitt Romney, Michael Bachmann, Rick Perry and Rudy Giuliani as very competitive. Rudy Giuliani only trails Obama by 5 points-44 to 39%. Rudy and Gov Perry have not yet announced but are both within striking distance.

Better have Box take his valium...

Seriously though, the head to head dem versus pub matchups mean nothing right now.
Inside the party, different story. The debt ceiling crisis will be a distant memory next year.
Next summer, if unemployment is still in the mid to high eights and gas is on the near side of $4 a gal, THEN Obama is in trouble.

I agree, this poll is funny though because even though Paul comes in 2nd here under Romney Obama's numbers drops when faced against Paul. This means many Obama voters would jump over to Paul's campaign if they had to choose between the 2, I said before that would be the case and this shows some proof I was correct. The big challenges still remain in getting the Republicans to back him, the Ames straw Poll is coming up soon and that will be a big boost if Paul does well there.

True but here's what means everything. A horrible incumbent that is polling in the low 40's. Anything under 50 is bad-anyone at 41% is in serious trouble. Rudy is only 5 points behind? Call in the exterminator. This is up on The Drudge Report.

Well thank God it isn't Palin or Buchmann that is in second. Paul makes much more sense!

But it is still very very early in the race. A lot could happen between now and then and we can be sure that it will!!!
