I think 'In God We Trust' is predicated on the recipient of the fools luck actually believing in God or some form of higher authority.

The Nimitz article was a good one.

Sometimes the screw ups in higher command 'justify' the fools luck by God's hand when they themselves put US in that position.  It takes the heat off US (them).

Walt Disney did a 'cartoon' based on Island hoping that spelled out Americas war plans, he was asked to sit on it till we executed the plans.  If Walt Disney can figure out what a Pentagon full of (sh*t) genius worked years to con cock, well we are up against a lot of smart evil people.

I believe it was the collective, individual beliefs of the thousands who did not die that saved them NOT God saving America's a**.  The little guy belief's saved Americas a** through Devine intercession.  It gets convoluted, I know.

Now we have a generation & a half who knows nothing but to stick their face into some little piece of electronic soul stealer junk made by slave labor in Asia..  That is America's god now & he is a cruel god.
