Mertzie was ostracized because he wasn't a 'home grown, game playing, self motivated, friends and family club, gumba ganster'!! He was and is smarter and more focused than the average rotterdamian politician. He clearly had the taxpayer's interest in the forefront.
Mertzie's only sin.......he was not 'connected' and he called 'em as he seen 'em....something rotterdam isn't ready to handle and face yet. But that time is on the horizon!!
I thought I'd give myself a plug!!!
nitwit!

Mertz has got to be the dumbest person who held political that I have EVER met. I could recite a litany of examples -- but it wouldn't change the Nattering Nayboobs of Negativity's minds .. so .. I'll just say that I ameternally thankful that we will NEVER have Mertz in town government or any level of government in the future.

NICKI asks why work was completed in spring of 2010 but we are just now receiving the invoice. MIA Brick – The settlement values for 226.11 and 227.11 were offered by the Town Assessor. He is attorney for both parties and offered his version of the Assessor’s story. WAYNE – If Board requests that a dept head be present at the meeting, the Supervisor should arrange this. FDG – this was built just after the Civil War and is overtaxed in my opinion. DISCUSSION ITEMS FDG – We need to collect $39,000 from REMS for the 2009 ALS monies. Just received the contract 2 weeks ago and still reviewing. NICKI – Both bidders said that the ALS would bring in $100,000 to $150,000 per year. $39,000 is unacceptable.
COMMITTEE REPORTS WAYNE’s Senior Moment (on behalf of Matt Martin): Senior picnic Tuesday 7/19 at SSFD, 8/13 MacHayden Theatre – Grease, Brass Rail will be closed during the month of July.
PUBLIC COMMENT PRIVILEGE OF FLOOR D.Marco – Thank you for providing a complete agenda with detailed resolutions.
Mr. Malazinsky –2400 calls per year per REMS website so why only $39,000? We need to get the contract signed. What about the ALS monies for 2010 and 2011? FDG – there wasn’t a contract in place so they couldn’t collect ALS fees.
ADJOURNMENT

BOB - Wants Asssessor's Changes posted on the town website for the July 2010 - July 2011 roll Police Chief wants to give presentation at next meeting regarding conditions of current building.
Wayne - Sorry for the long meeting. Article in today's newspaper had several inaccuracies and wants the residents to know that.
