foot First Methodist Church into an antique shop and offices on a 29,983 square
foot parcel of property located in the Aquifer Overlay Zone located at 1234 Main
Street in Rotterdam Junction, New York.
220.11 Call for public hearing to be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the
John F. Kirvin Government Center, Town Hall, 1100 Sunrise Boulevard, Rotterdam,
New York 12306 for the following purpose:
To consider adopting a local law amending Chapter 150, Hawking, Peddling and
Soliciting to establish rules regarding ice cream trucks selling in the Town of
Rotterdam.
221.11 Call for public hearing to be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the
John F. Kirvin Government Center, Town Hall, 1100 Sunrise Boulevard, Rotterdam,
New York 12306 for the following purpose:
Consider the Petition and Map, Plan and Report duly filed by William Larned
and Sons, Inc. and Maria Esposito as property owners pursuant to NYS Town
Law Article 12 for creation of a new sewer district to be located in the Town of
Rotterdam to be comprised solely of properties known as SBL #48.09-2-9, SBL
#48.09-2-10 and SBL #48-4-4.11 in the vicinity of North Thompson Street and
Burdeck Street. The maximum amount to be expended by the Town for the new
district is 0 dollars ($0.00).
222.11 Declare the Town of Rotterdam as “lead agency” and authorize the Town Planner to
prepare, file, publish and distribute all documents necessary to comply with 6 NYCRR
Part 617 & State Environmental Quality Review relative to the above-referenced
proposed sewer district in the Town of Rotterdam.
223.11 Adopt standard work day for appointed officials for the purpose of determining days
worked reportable to the New York State and Local Employees’ Retirement System.
224.11 The Town Board of the Town of Rotterdam hereby authorizes the appropriation of
Park Land Fees in the amount of $3,400.00 and hereby modifies the General Fund
Budget by increasing Estimated Revenues (A510) and the revenue account entitled
“Parkland Fees” (A2001.200100) by $3,400.00, and increasing Appropriations (A960)
and the subsidiary account entitled “Parks Improvements” (A7110.4153 by $3,400.00).
225.11 Authorize the Town Attorney to enter into a Settlement Agreement in the matter of
Frank Santoro vs. Town of Rotterdam Index # 2009-1628 and Index # 2010-
1137Article 7 tax proceeding for the tax year 2009 and 2010.
226.11 Authorize the Town Attorney to enter into a Settlement Agreement in the matter of
Edward Jr., and Michael Pigliavento vs. Town of Rotterdam Index # 2009-1454 and
Index # 2010-1083 Article 7 tax proceeding for the tax year 2009 and 2010.

How hard is it for you to understand that the Democrats on the current board had an opportunity to lower the clerk's salary and didn't!   That is why the electorate will take up this matter on their agenda!!

Very true!!  The TB Democrats had the opportunity to address the Clerk issue.  They not only didn't address it, they condoned and defended it.  With taxes high, unemployment high,I can't wait to hear the Dumb-o-crats defend a $50K Dumb-o-crat Town Clerk.  They had no problem cutting the Assessors pay during the budget process.  Clearly the Democrats have been running the town as pure partisans.  Good Luck HARRY!!

There is the issue of timing -- salaries are set at the organizational meeting on January 1 .. so that can't be changed until next January 1  IF   it is legally permissible to lower the salary to $1.  There are some lawyers who believe the salary can be lowered but can not be lowered to $0 or $1.

Furthermore-  the PARTY had nothing to do with the Town Board's action or inaction on that or any other issue. The fact is that  Frank DelGallo has been led by the nose by Bob Godlewski since  January 1, 2010 ---  Bob tells Frank what will be on the agenda, how to vote  and whether or not Frank is allowed to go to the bathroom or not.

The REAL PROBLEM in Town Hall is that Bob Godlewski won't listen to any advice from anyone -- he is a lone ranger  -- and thinks he is the Supervisor  .. and worse .. Bob thinks he is the Supervisor with unlimited dictatorial powers.

Maybe if Frank and Bob had listened to advice from those Democrats who worked hard to get them elected, they wouldn't have made so many dumb-a** mistakes in the past year and a half.    The fact is that Bob basically thumbed his nose at all of us who helped get the team elected and he thumbed his nose at the rest of the team on the town board --  and, unfortunately,  Frank DelGallo was either  easily led or misled into blindly following Bob Godlewski.

It is sad -- because Frank DelGallo  .. IMHO is a decent man with good intentions .. he was just led astray.

Another classic to go down in history

The courts senior typist 12/hr to 17/hr - thet area has been back filled since febuary

Last budget season we were told the senior typist would become a typist - to this day we have just spent $$$$ there like they print it - see the expendaitures listed in the rotterdam sticky

We have qualified staff yet we pay for a "consultant" for a typist position

The issue is not the "consultant" but "Management"

First the democons knew WELL in advance what and who they were endorsing and trying to sell to the rotterdamians!! It's not like this was BG's first time in the political arena. BG has had his share of 'dumb-a** mistakes'. This was a no brainer and YET the democons endorsed him!!! Ya can't make this stuff up!!
