The alleged Bush Economic Meltdown was the result of Congress weakening lending practices. Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac were destroyed by Senator Dodd {DEM Presidential Candidate} and former DEM Congressional Banking chairman Barney Frank.

Then you had community organizers like Barack Obama and Jesse Jackson putting more pressure on lending institutions to approve shaky mortgages. Get over the Bush derangement syndrome. As Debbie Schultz stated Obama owns this economy. Blaming Bush for the present incompetence, lack of direction, dithering and billions blown in failed prime priming is ridiculous.

It sounds like Benny is trying real hard to forget the Bush Economic Meltdown... (So are most Americans).
If Obama manages in 8 years, to get the countries economy back to where it was when GWB took office, his presidency will be judged a huge success!

If the Bush Tax Cuts for the Rich were such a horrible thing, then why did a Democrat-controlled Congfess under Obama approve them, and why did he sign them?  We're no longer looking at the Bush Tax Cuts.  Those are now Obama Tax Cuts.

The tax rate would be back to what it was Pre-Bush if it wasn't for the Democrats and their fearless leader, Obama.  And who says that he has 8 years?  Especially now that he may be shopping for a new VP candidate.  It's not too often that an incumbent President goes and looks for a new V.P..

This Incumbent President ISN'T looking for a new VP.

Only person who has wielded a shovel was your friend Bush who caused the whole problem.  Two wars because he's a baby--spending spree because Clinton left him money.  Busy trashing this country's reputation and depleting all the good will extended to us.  You want to blame Obama?  No it was the cosboy in the white house who caused this mess.  Medicare and Social Security as well as Medicaid is what has made this country human.  Not your oil rich friends.  As fosr the bin Laden deal...you guys should be glad that O did what your boy couldn't do and that YOU all felt was imperative.  I did not supposrt "taking him out."  Catching him yes--killing him like a deer--No.

The bleeding hearts are always passing laws for those who they feel are less fortunate, their only problem is they have a champagne taste and the price of a beer and expect someone else to pick up the tab.

So what was Obama's solution to the "war for oil" Bush? Double down on Afghanistan {which has no oil}, attack Libya in violation of the War Powers Act, attack Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen with drones. Some change candidate. He really improved America's image-NOT! So much so that Osama is more popular than Obama in Egypt.

Joe Biden's a total idiot who puts his foot in his mouth weekly. This rumor was started by Willy Brown hardly a REP operative. Nothing will help. Obama's foreign policy stinks and his economic policy sinks. He will do worse than Jimmy Carter when he tried re-election. Can't believe the prominent DEMS that won't vote for him again.

Benny is confused...
It was George Worst Bush that started the unnecessary optional (failed) Oil War In Iraq... Not Obama.

Gov dodges veep talk
By FREDRIC U. DICKER

ALBANY -- Gov. Cuomo ducked and weaved yesterday, but never flatly said "no" as he was repeatedly pressed on whether he'd be willing to succeed Joe Biden as President Obama's running mate next year -- or even run for president in 2016.

"That's just political chatter and silliness," Cuomo said several times in Buffalo when pressed on The Post's report Monday on a leading Republican's prediction that Obama would choose him to run for vice president next year.

"I'm governor of New York, I've been governor for six months; there's a lot of work to do," Cuomo continued after he was asked what he would tell Obama if he was offered the nation's No. 2 job...................>>>>.....................>>>>.....................Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/gov_dodges_veep_talk_mAuYbrtC55RLzoLtrXXRWK#ixzz1RbtC40aF

Andrew Cuomo has been in office barely 6 months and we're promoting him to Vice President?  I believe that it's
a bit premature.  His agreements with the CSEA have not been ratified by the membership and word on the street
is that the members will disapprove.  No agreement with PEF.  Layoff notices have been mailed, but, to date, not
one position has been eliminated.  The property tax cap was hapless as there was no relief from state and federal
mandates.

Though many, including Fred Dicker. seem to be enamored by the man, I will wait to see if any of what he has
already taken credit for comes to pass.

If Cuomo can achieve significant decreases in property taxes, if he can attract businesses back to New York State,
and, if he can reduce the power of the Nanny State, I will join those who have already boarded the bandwagon.

Andrew Cuomo is more popular than the President right now  .. and a hell of a lot more effective as a leader.  He is better off sitting out in 2012 and preparing for a run for the top spot on the ticket in 2016.

Why, so he can push more for people who can't afford homes to buy them?   You DO know he was a BIG part of all this FHA handouts to people who really could not afford a house, and look what happened.   All the socialist liberal crap that people must have their own home.

Yep, and Cuomo won't raise taxes of the millioniares, so the working middle class will have to pay more.   Just like in the city, your dems make the working middle class pay increased taxes to provide for exemption of property taxes for the millioniares.

By the way, what has the Obama spending accomplished?   What's the unemplyment rate?

Oh yeah, DV. don't cheer Cuomo on the property tax cap either.   Of course since you don't own property and never have, you don't have a clue what the cap really means.  The cap is on the levy, NOT the tax RATE, nor the tax BILL.

As your city dem socialist buddies keep exempting the rich downtown from paying taxes, well, I guess you need a Property Tazes 101 lesson.   As long as your dem socialist buddies keep exempting the rich downtown from paying taxes, your dem buddy Cuomo's tax "cap" will mean NOTHING to the homeowners.

In fact, Chapter 2 of Property Taxes 101, is that even if the tax LEVY is reduced, the financiailly struggling homeowners will still see an INCREASE in their tax BILLS, mostly like of MORE THAN 2%.....as long as your dem socialist buddies keep keep giving out those exemptions to the those plex friends and family club.

Before you comment, make sure you have your facts straight (with proof by the way)

Hey, guv, you’re needed too much here to leave us

Finally we have a governor who, in his short time in office, has shown leadership — something we haven’t had in Albany in a very long time.
Now we’re hearing from the pundits: First it was former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown and now Bill Powers, once leader of New York’s Republican Party (when New York had a Republican Party). Both have stated that Andrew Cuomo will be Obama’s running mate in 2012.
Governor, please remember that you were elected by the people of New York to serve four years. Fulfi ll your obligation and keep your campaign promises. Right now it is more important for you to try and fix the mess New York is in.
It would be wrong to turn your back on us and leave to help Obama continue his train wreck for another four years.

Before you start cheer leading Jerry wait until he actually gets something done that passes in the NYS legislature.

You must have been sleeping for the past 6 months.   Governor Cuomo has gotten numerous pieces of legislation as well as an on time budget passed by the State Legislature.
