U.S. drone targets two leaders of Somali group allied with al-Qaeda, official says

A U.S. drone aircraft fired on two leaders of a militant Somali organization tied to al-Qaeda, apparently wounding them, a senior U.S. military official familiar with the operation said Wednesday.

The strike last week against senior members of al-Shabab comes amid growing concern within the U.S. government that some leaders of the Islamist group are collaborating more closely with al-Qaeda to strike targets beyond Somalia, the military official said.

The airstrike makes Somalia at least the sixth country where the United States is using drone aircraft to conduct lethal attacks, joining Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Iraq and Yemen. And it comes as the CIA is expected to begin flying armed drones over Yemen in its hunt for al-Qaeda operatives.

Gee, it appears that, for those that said how GWB had to go and finish his daddy's war, it's now Obama's turn to go and finish the war that Slick Willy didn't follow through on and finish.  And when will there be an end to THIS conflict?  It appears that since he got the Nobel Peace Prize, Obama doesn't care if there's peace anywhere in the world, or if he's the one that starts it all.  Does he WANT to start WWIII?  Is he planning on bringing it to our shores?

Thank God that President Obama is killing Al Qaeda  where ever they are found... as he did with their leader Osama Bin Laden.   (Unlike his predecessor, who abandoned the war on Al Qaeda, to chase Iraqi Oil.)

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

They should give Obama another "Peace Prize" for his effort in killing El Shabab and who ever else gets in the way of our missiles.

Gee......where are all of the anti-war protesters? Where is all of the media coverage? Where are all of the embedded journalists? Where are all of the daily briefings from the white house?

I believe Obama was awarded the Nobel BLOW IT TO PIECES PRIZE.  It was a mistranslation.  He wasn't being honored for PEACE but rather PIECE, for flying drones into sovereign nations and blowing them to pieces.  The english language is tricky, it is very easy for peace and piece to get lost in translation.
