If Obama manages to get the USA out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and turn around the Bush Economic Meltdown by the end of his second term, he will have been a huge success.
Well since there is no guarantee he will get a 2nd term maybe he should try to speed that up like promised. People fail to realize that we have built permanent military bases in Iraq not to mention a new Embassy, our troops aren't coming home with Obama in office end of story. Also we have security contractors over there who are funded with our tax payers money, when will that end? Bush screwed up a lot of things and I mean SCREWED UP but the blame now rests Obama, his honeymoon time is over and his supporters should be holding his feet to the fire. He will end up pushing the problems onto the next president just watch.

Box you quote 2 socialist papers from overseas and that's supposed to be proof. Where's the wiki leaks e-mails or secret documents that Bush sent to the commanders in Iraq to seize the oil fields and start sending tanker loads of oil to the USA. The USA didn't get a quart of Iraqi oil and you know it. Was invading Iraq a stupid and expensive move, I think we can all agree on that but don't start with the left crap about a war for oil or the same thing can be said of Obama going into Libya.

Point 1: LMAO! Shadow thinks that the BBC is a... Socialist paper!!!
Point 2: Obama didn't go into Libya. (Nor is the USA at war with Libya or stand to gain any advantage on Libyan oil contracts.)

(USA's Own Source watch) Bush's Oil War in Iraq...
Oil and War in Iraq have been inextricably intertwined in the war plans of both the Pentagon and the oil industry ( "Big Oil") long before the war in Iraq.
However, in the words of one US oil company executive, the plans for Iraq's oil "'all turned out a lot more complicated than anyone had expected'. Instead of the anticipated post-invasion rapid expansion of Iraqi production, the continuing violence of the insurgency has prevented Iraqi exports from even recovering to pre-invasion levels."
"In short," wrote Ian Rutledge, in the April 11, 2005, Financial Times, "the US appears to have fought a war for oil in the Middle East, and lost it. The consequences of that defeat are now plain for all to see."

The choice of words: "the same thing can be said of Obama going into Libya" were not mine but were quoted from Shadow, so if you have a problem with the quote, take it up with Shadow.
The real problem here is that Conservatives have had to eat the George Worst Bush fiasco in Iraq... and unnecessary war, for so long that they are looking for any possible issue to throw at Obama. Libya is NOT an invasion like Iraq, or Afghanistan, and we all know it.

Rpforpres was pointing out the fact that Obama sent the CIA, the airforce, and plenty of cruise missles into Libya you're splitting hairs it's still a war waged by our forces. We got no oil from Iraq even though we should have to cover some of the cost of the costly war that Bush got us into. Now the taxpayers of the USA will have to pay for the expense of the wars. The UK was a socialist country until their last election but there are many people that still believe in the socialistic form of government. It's time you lefties start holding Obama responsible for his failed economic, energy, jobs, monetary management, and health-care fiasco instead of trying to blame Bush for everything your idol screws up.
White House pushes back on efforts to end Libya intervention By Sam Youngman - 06/02/11 02:12 PM ET
The White House said Thursday that President Obama believes the NATO mission in Libya is succeeding, and he is opposed to ending that mission right now.
With a number of Democrats and some Republicans pushing for an end to U.S. involvement in the mission, White House press secretary Jay Carney said the president believes most members agree with the mission.
"We believe that the policy is working," Carney said. "We believe the goal the president has is shared by the majority of the members of Congress."
Carney said the president has held true to his word that the U.S. would step back from its leadership position in the bombing campaign after the early days of the mission.
And, Carney said, the White House has "consulted Congress every step of the way."
U.S. and NATO efforts have been key to saving lives in Libya, Carney said.
"Beyond the consultation with Congress, I think the president believes very strongly that we're doing the right thing here," Carney said.

The Conservative view of the world never ceases to amaze me!!!
The USA INVADES IRAQ!... Now they should thank us for blowing up most of their country... Killing 100,000 of their citizens... Torturing many innocent and many guilty Iraqis... Appointing a government and deciding who can run in their elections... And the Right Wing Nuts in this country expect the Ungrateful Iraqis to reward us for destroying their country by selling their oil to the USA??? They should reward the USA for invading their country??? I AM AMAZED!
Chinese National Petroleum Company and BP were the big winners of the Iraqi oil bidding... the USA was shut out of the process. If I were the Iraqis, I'd pump my oil onto the desert before I'd sell one drop to those who INVADED my country.
BTW, The US taxpayers should pay for the Bush War... they voted him, (well actually the majority of American voted for Gore)... Let them live with the consequences of their vote.

The British were among the countries that invaded Iraq and BP is pretty British and they ended up with an oil contract. The USA should have let Saddam keep killing the Kurds with nerve gas, torturing citizens, killing a hundred thousand Shiites who opposed him and it would have saved us a few trillion dollars along with saving 5 thousand American soldiers from being killed. I agree we should have never invaded Iraq it was a very bad move by Bush.
Like Obama was closing Gitmo? How'd that work out? Let's forget his pathetic civilian terrorist trials in NYC which even fellow DEMS opposed. Obama's military brilliance is unsurpassed! It's always a great move to tell your enemy, that wants to behead you, exactly when you are fleeing the battleground. You leave upon total victory not on some political date. Obama is a total incompetent in foreign affairs/military issues. And he's worse on fiscal/economic issues. A one term disaster.

Sorry box........my son in law is a marine and is presently serving his 2nd tour in the middle east!!! If you think that libyais not like iraq, then I have a bridge in brooklyn to sell ya!!! You, unlike the 'real informed patriot' will listen and believe anything and everything the liberal or conservative media outlets throws at ya!!! Get the facts boxy cause you are truly clueless!!

Obama's military brilliance is unsurpassed! Obama is a total incompetent in foreign affairs/military issues.
Benny doesn't think much of Obama's "military brilliance", and thinks that Obama is "Incompetent on military affairs"...
The last person who thought that was named Osama Bin Laden.

My take is slightly different than all of yours --- Afghanistan -- we were justified in going in and taking out El Qaeda and the Taliban .. but we have not sentenough troops to finish the job and have failed to take out the terrorist strongholds in neighboring Pakistan.
Iraq -- we we justified in going in and taking out Saddam Hussein .. but we failed to have a good strategy to replace Saddam Hussein with a working government in those early months .. things have vastly improved since the "troop surge" .. but eventually we have to deal with Iran and Syria.
Libya -- if our desired outcome is to remove Qadaffi .. then we should take him out ... SWIFTLY and DECISIVELY .. this piddling around with a few bombers here and a little something there -- is just ludicrous.
We need a US Commander-in-Chief who sets an objective .. gives the order to our fine fighting men and women --- and lets them use the FULL FORCE of our military to get the job done quickly. None of this bull shitting around.

Our military has been purposely stifled by our own government and their global cohorts in the UN since WWII...has anyone noticed that the most superior military on earth hasn't "won" a war since then? Most, if any of these "wars" were never necessary.
