Or, be a participant of hypocrisy.

Don't get me wrong - but you gave up your principles to take part in the "system" - which makes it just as bad as being a life long registered member.  One can support a candidate without giving up what they TRULY believe in.

I'm registered blank also - but I like to watch the parties work it out amongst themselves and then vote for the best option from the victors.

Nah....no hypocrisy here. I'll go back to a blank as soon as I vote in the rep primary for Paul. And I'm not the only one who is doing it. There are even some dems and independence folks that are switching just for the primary. I don't like this system either. Some states allow everyone to vote in the primary no matter what your party affiliation is. Not in good old NYS!!

And I agree with you about watching the parties work it out and wait to see who the victors are. Only in this case, I would like to take a part in who the victor will be.

Obviously the Town Republicans are a lot more pitiful than I had thought.   They can't field a ticket of candidates ... but they can make vicious personal attacks on a private citizen.

I have known too many REAL and good  Republicans in my life to believe that the Town GOP represents the real legacy and principles of the Republican party.    It doesn't deserve to continue to bear the name Republican .. because its words and actions  are an insult to all real and good Republicans -- past and present.

Coming from those that shilled for FDG and Revitalize Rott? How did that work out for you?-lol- Tracy is doing a great job of rebuilding the town REPS. She has reached out to the former NNTP leaders and has found many new electable candidates.  She is also restocking a depleted treasury. Instead of attacking Tracy try improving your own DEM slate which includes several REP castoffs.

If you don't believe in the ideals of the party, then you should leave.  And I don't mean what the party has been doing recently, I mean what the party originally stood for, smaller, more effective government.

Agreed mr. March.  Unfortunately the local reps have alot of ppl with really poor character.  Mertz amedore sherman etc..good long time repubs r running away!  Lazzari, santabarbara, signore...there will be more.  Local reps are going to be extinct soon.

If they think they can find another place that agrees with them more, then "don't let the door hit you on the way out."

You build a party by un-endorsing a sitting council person and run the incumbent county legislator for his seat and run MV for the county seat, THEN you primary the assemblyman that the party endorsed just a few years earlier.  THEN, when the council person that was un-endorsed by his party runs to retain the seat he was elected to, you blame that person for destroying the party.  It's all very simple if you ask me.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.  I'm not the one deciding if anyone is leaving.  Anyone would be invited back at any time.  I just hope they would be rejoining because they believe in what is happening in the party.

got it...Once you are endorsed you should be endorsed for life...doesn't matter what you do or believe you should just keep your endorsement because you were endorsed once...
