will sweep a new team into Rotterdam and Glenville town halls.

More like DEMS will be completely swept out of Glenville and hopefully here. The DEMS will lose seats in the County but when holding a 13-2 lead hard to lose control. The smart ones have already left. The Savage crapola of overtaxing the middle class to give to rich developers aka {working together works!} is getting tired.

Of course the Republicans don't like the idea of "working together works" .. because they have been unable to work together WITHIN their own party let alone .. reach across party lines to work with anybody.

This is actually quite sad because the Republican Party that my Mother and Uncles and my paternal grandparents belonged to  .. was a more intelligent, more unified and more honorable party than what the GOP has evolved into in recent years.   Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt are probably spinning in their graves when they look at what the Schenectady GOP has turned into .. and the national GOP as well.

"Working together works" was never about working across party lines. It's about the DEMS crew grabbing all levels of government and letting party bosses dictate terms.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The residents are sick and tired of this nonsense. They do not want police consolidation and they don't want Rotterdam businesses going to the City with tax breaks we are paying for. Talk about a double whammy. Loss of property taxes in town while County taxes are dumped into Metrograft to raid town businesses. Then the stunad County DEMS actually voted to cut their own power. TJ Hooker also supported the REMS tax. 3 strikes and you are out.

I have to agree that the reps have become the brunt of jokes just like the dems and cons. Folks are sick of them all.

That is why there are independent candidates popping up everywhere. Folks are tired of the democon tax and spend rule. And are becoming tired of waiting for the reps to get it together. Hence...........in comes the independent candidates!!

Your last sentence I don't follow to the rest I say there is a huge difference between a property tax break and zone changes that aren't compliant with the comprehensive plan the first = legit the second = not legit.

Is your issue you don't think this benefit should exist or is it you are afraid of fraud? If the former I'd like to know how you think that break compares to the costs to the taxpayers of that individual being in a nursing home. Yeah perfect world the option would be home without taxpayer help or nursing home without taxpayer help....that is until your a$$ is immoble and you need someone to take care of you and have no money....Here in the real world the option is someone take care of you or you end up in a nursing home a taxpayer expense....so if the tax break is sufficient to incentivize holding off going to a nursing home I'd say it's great...Is it the best case? nope! But its a hell of a lot better than what the other options are!

If your issue is fraud id imagine there are enough people that would see a bunch of 20 yr olds in an inlaw apaprtment and they would do something about it...and if they wouldnt, obviously they arent too concerned about the affect its having on them.

It's NOT  a benefit.....it's a vote purchase....the elder ALREADY GET SS/MEDICARE/CAID ETC......LET THEM PAY THEIR CARE TAKERS/RENT ETC....

IT'S STUPID TO HAVE A 'SPECIAL' BENEFIT BECAUSE ONE IS OLD AND ONE IS A CHILD OF AN ELDER....making one more equal than the rest is
WRONG.....dont descriminate in reverse by age.....get it.....

I'm not here so you can tax my back so you can go on vacation....please....get over yourself and your comfort

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

There are more independent lines than the nntp. That's what I'm talking about........k?

ALL independent lines are looking more attractive to the electorate.......k?

I didn't re-enroll.....I enrolled for the FIRST TIME. I have been a registered blank from day one!!! But this is the only way I can vote in the rep presidential primary. And I am supporting Ron Paul.

Like I said.....we have to go with the system we are dealt.

Or, be a participant of hypocrisy.

Don't get me wrong - but you gave up your principles to take part in the "system" - which makes it just as bad as being a life long registered member.  One can support a candidate without giving up what they TRULY believe in.

I'm registered blank also - but I like to watch the parties work it out amongst themselves and then vote for the best option from the victors.
