Forbes only said it doesn't know, and Exxon isn't telling. Here's another article saying Exxon paid no U.S. income tax in 2009:

http://abcnews.go.com/Business/Tax/ge-exxon-paid-us-income-taxes-09/story?id=10300167&page=2

I never debated the income tax thing, I just said they did pay other taxes.. as Forbes seems to say.
The ABC article also says the no income tax thing was for 2009 singularly.

Actually, instead of making fun of Johnny-One-Note, I think I have a solution that will make all happy:

Haha, the guy that posts a dozen times about "the children" as if it's funny every time calls me "Johnny-One-Note".

The only other taxes they actually have figures on are non-US income taxes. Yes, they only report on 2009 as the 2010 figures haven't come out yet.

Great idea!  Government pension money should be saved under their mattresses.  Government employees should financially starve those evil companies that produce modern America's wasteful necessities and luxuries like oil companies, banks and auto manufacturers.  Public sector union power needs to flex their muscles.

Wisconsin teachers really destroyed the reputation of America's teachers with their display in Madison.  Those 14 Democrat Senetors should have ended those demonstrations earlier rather than drag them out.  I think seeing those angry faces for weeks on end, hurt rather than helped their cause.

You DO realize that you're in the minority, right? A majority of Winconsin and American citizens support the Wisconsin teachers against the Republicans. I mean, you guys always say how great Fox News must be because the ratings are so high, so ratings and polls are the highest indicator of righteousness, right?

Have fun being on the wrong side of history.

From the ABC story:
"Mind you, not all global megacorps enjoy such low tax rates. Try to muster some pity for Big Oil. ExxonMobil paid more income taxes than any other U.S. company last year, some $15 billion, or 47% of pretax earnings."

They aren't paying US income taxes, but they are paying income taxes to other countries, as the article states
"The oil companies are oddities among the multinationals because many of the oil-rich countries where they do business levy even higher taxes than the U.S. "

They still pay sales taxes in the US

It is for the kids. Bankruptcy will be deemed on the right side.

They support the teachers on the collective bargaining rights issue only, not the Cadillac benefits they had.
Also, the 14 Dem cowards got just as much hate from the polls I saw.

Polls mean everything. The financial reality is not at issue. Who is more popular is better.

I agree with the pundits that the Unions will gain from what happened in Wisconsin, but it will be the Union bosses only that will gain.  The rank and file will lose..in benefits mostly... because the extent of their largess has been exposed. Teacher tenure is next.. Idaho just passed a law abolishing it.... Be careful what you wish for.

Sorry, I forgot that polls only matter when it favors the right.

What polls would those be?

I'd be more likely to try to read your screeds if you used tried to use even basic punctuation and grammar. Seriously, where did you learn that this was how people should write/type? Also, on the internet, typing in ALL CAPS is considered shouting and is rude. If you want to emphasize something, use the "italics" feature that is available in the text editor for this board. All caps is not necessary.

I can understand your lack of respect for teachers. Your English one sucked.

I am NOT disrespecting teachers......I am disrespecting the union/political machine......I DONT feel sorry or bad for teachers
having to fight....they chose that seat/position and allowed others to speak for them....what the lost aspect is, is the connection
between unions and governments for the purpose of money laundering of sorts.....do you really think the system is set up
to keep things status quo for the betterment of society??? maybe at the start, but it soon turned into a podium puck for the
machine to use so the public would avoid the real issues and only look at the puddle of muck made....I say remove the unions
from the equation and the government loses it's 'common enemy' approach to allow them to steal/shuffle/lie/cheat.....dont
blame wallstreet for the investments made by the 'Truthful Government' run pension lies...

as for standard English...Brave New World with ALOT of Atlas Shrugged......

to bad the schools removed Latin....the legal begal elected wouldn't be our task masters....sad sad sham......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Not at all. It is too bad that the next generations will pay dearly for all the debt you have forced on them. But you will gone by then so why worry? You got yours.
