Dunzy's did a lot of catering/take out business ....  but it's sit down business was not what it needed to be.
I have that from a good source.

There food was great and the service was great -- but the location was problematic .. at best.
Years ago when people WALKED to their neighborhood tavern .. a place like Dunzy's would have done great.
Today -- everyone hops in their cars .. and if they can't park their cars easily ... they drive on until they find a place with better parking.

where's the sidewalks for Rotterdam??????? Comp Planning??? nooooooooooo,,,,just rezone rezone rezone.........

Where's the new bike path? Thought bike paths or new curbing were the favored economic stimulus plans of local DEMS. Plenty of parking across the street. GB has it right. With a new governmental gin mill coming on line is it impossible to compete.

Unequal playing field. Drink up! Your RIDA money at work. RIDA/Death Ray put the shot glass back in industrial. This is the first of many local institutions to go belly up because of short sighted "planners".

Eventually --- a lot of the smaller businesses on Guilderland Ave and Curry Rd  (helderberg to 5 corners section) -- are going to have to expand  back from the road into the residential section ---    the lots are too small -- no parking and the "footprints" of the existing buildings are too small for many 21st century businesses.

You can't continue to "shoe horn" in new businesses --- we need a comp plan that meets 21st century needs.

This guy is GREAT at spending EVERYONE ELSE'S MONEY, isn't he? The the jackboot, he proclaims what small businesses HAVE TO do.

What good are comprehensive plans if no one follows them? The DEMS always talk a good game about planning but when they take over plans and public input are thrown out the window. It's all about the DEMS Friends and Family club.

Metrograft is a perfect illustration. Under Death Ray there hasn't been one public forum. Everything is in the dark and in the end nonprofits or connected DEMS always win. Screw established small businesses and the oppressed County taxpayers. Then they wonder why unemployment is way up and County taxes are 3X Saratoga County. The fact that any RIDA money went into another governmental gin mill is incomprehensible. No wonder the Rotterdam Industrial Park is now the Rotterdam Corporate Park and in shambles.

I heard the place was run by expolice thats too bad. Now how can they supplement tax paid retirement?
Maybe they can hang out by the recovery room, recovery room, I thought that was an A.A. house?
How does that scorecard work with the reputtation score?
If some one disagrees you get a red star or if they agree you get a blue one?

No, a current police union head. The so-called "bad pig" in that classy Rotterdam Junktion is run by a local ex-police who was involved in some scandal. Not that that narrows it down too much. But I know he left under some cloud of dirt involving the copservative leader's family member.

I actually drove over to see this property earlier today. I find it interesting that if it's for sale, there's no sign stating so on the property (unless there's something inside) and it appears that they are still in business, so it's not because they were closing up otherwise (in fact, there is a flyer outside for the band they're having playing this weekend).

I did notice that the former library just down the block has a sign in the window that it's available.  For information on this, you can call 518-374-5310.

Kevin, actually .. it is common for businesses to NOT put "for sale" signs in the window or on the building when they are up for sale.   They are listed with a real estate agency.
Similarly, quite a number of houses are listed for sale but do not put a sign on their front lawn.
