BT does this mean BM will not be seeking the CP endorsement?

Do you mean that the cons have not historically endorsed dems?
Do you  mean that the con executive committee....ya know, the only ones that vote, are not in bed with the dems?

I hope he would seek the CP endorsement...

McGarry has sent a letter to the Conservative Party Chairman requesting an
interview for the party endorsement.

Don't be so fast to pull up a white flag. Let FDG run as an independent with his Pool Party splitting the DEM vote. Brian will not have a primary and will be on at least 2 lines. Of course HB is the early favorite but if Brian keeps running hard with CONS answers to fiscal issues he has a good shot. Hopefully some learned from 2 years ago.

The word at the Bagel Shop is that the REPS have put together a good unity slate for town and County Legislature. The days of an all DEM town bored are ending.

That does accurately describe a certain faction of our Party...I have never denied that. What I was asking was if BM would seek
the CP endorsement....and I just saw Brad's post. Brad...I wouldn't hold my breath for a response to that letter - lol.

I hope he would seek the CP endorsement...And when the exec board deny him the endorsement, he can go directly to the rank and file and petition for the line.  Ya gotta play by the rules of the game.  You better than anybody know the rules of the game.

Yes...but according to BT, there is no rank and file...they're all 'dem-o-cops' and 'copservatives'.

HB is no different than FDG. Neither wanted to run for 'anything'. It was the dem party who went to them and used them. So those rotterdamians that vote for HB will be voting for the same thing they have right now! A DISASTER!!!!

Unlike BM and any of the nntp folks, HB nor FDG had that strong desire to serve. In fact it was HB who said he had to think about it because he really hadn't thought about running for office. SURPRISE!!!! Looks like he got bambozzled just like FDG!!!

Did ya learn your lesson yet rotterdamians? Looks like the dem-o-cons are gonna try to REVITALIZE ROTTERDAM YET AGAIN!

VIVA REVITALIZE THE ROTTERDAM TRAIN WRECK!!!

The Dems can fool us once with their candidates for supervisor but if we let them fool us twice we get what we deserve.

This administration has been such a disaster, I don't think the rotterdamians will fall for the rhetoric again.
Rotterdamians proved that with the rems tax issue that tj hooker supported and promoted.

A vote for HB is a vote for a second term for FDG. Different face-same dysfunction. The only chance to clean out Town Hall is to vote for Brian McGarry and the entire REP/NNTP Unity slate.

Agreed.
But remember that there is still a very small faction of the rotterdam rep party that are not in support of the nntp. I'd have to venture that there will be surprises from them as this election cycle moves forward............perhaps?

Gadfly,

Brian, and I understand the other Rep/NNTP candidates, submitted a letter to the Chairman of the Schenectady
County Conservative Party requesting an opportunity to interview for the endorsement of his party.  I would
expect that, out of courtesy, the candidates will be granted an opportunity to address the Executive Committee.
They may not all be awarded the party endorsement.  But, an opportunity to interview would exhibit mutual
respect for the individials/parties and the process.

That would be nice...but highly unlikely. Rest assured they already know who they're endorsing and even if they
offer interviews it won't be out of respect...it will only be a facade...just as it always is. They will "interview" before their
Spring Mixer and endorse after that event...expecting all candidates will foolishly give them money out of hope
for an endorsement....half of them will be disappointed and most of them will be Republicans. I don't even know
why Republicans show up...most of their money will go to their opponents.

Here's my prediction:
Farley and Buhrmaster will get the CP nod for County Leg Dist. 3 because Hamilton et al will consider them unbeatable.
Tony J will get the nod for Dist. 4...AS will be denied and DiLeva will have the other....Wade Abbott will not be authorized.
Peter G. will be authorized for County Leg because he is their best pal.
The rest of the County endorsements will go to Democrats.
Buffardi and entire Dem ticket will get endorsements for Supervisor/Town Board. HB would have been denied if ND had run,
and she would have if there was no spoiler in the mix...but she's not so it will go to HB.

So FDG will be considered the spoiler here?

Who knows what that crazy guy will do...but BM won't have to worry about spoilers because with or without one he won't
beat Dirty Harry.
