Today is the deadline to submit a letter of interest --if you wish to be considered for the Democratic endorsement for any town office.

Save your stamp. All the DEM parts have been cast. All that awaits is the usual rubber stamping from the DEM committee. If anyone new wants to run they better call Tracy.

But wait!!!!!!!  Bucahana is quoted as saying the Dems are desperate.  Well Tommy Boy (remember that movie) maybe YOU need to start feeling that "desperation" so that you can find a candidate who has a chance.  Buffardi has always enjoyed popularity while most of your candidates provide "hilarity."

They DEMS were desperate to find someone other than FDG or on Town Bored. The DEM bench isn't what it's cracked up to be. HB has been associated with County not town issues. Nothing is decided yet but rumor mill working overtime.

I didn't think TB had any control over local rep parties.....no?
TD is the rotterdam rep chair which has it's own committee....no?
TB doesn't have a vote in local rep stuff..............no?

HB is a good man and good candidate, but should be running for judge, not Supervisor.

Rotterdam is copland.  Dem chairman, cop.  Con party, cops. HB is a retired cop.  It will be impossible for him to distance himself from the union/cop run organization and that will tarnish his reputation.

Also, makes you wonder if the is just another step to a countywide police force.  Hamilton is ready to retire and go work with his closest friend Dagostino.  Rotterdam town chair is a retired cop who looks like he is trying to "consolidate" as a county legislator.  They are all looking to see what's in it for themselves.

Actually, the process has only just begun.  NOTHING has been decided yet.  Unlike the GOP, we - Democrats - consult the ENTIRE town committee before making our endorsements.

Then after minimal debate the ENTIRE DEM committee votes exactly as the Chair recommends. Your entire dance card is filled. Must give you your due-you posted this news days before Cermak "broke" the story.

Who has submitted a letter of interest and how those interviews are conducted is not a matter for
public discussion.   Everyone who has submitted a letter of interest will be vetted and given an
opportunity to make a good case for their respective candidacies.

I won't be making any personal public endorsements until after all the candidates have been interviewed.

Hey for all the b!tching that goes no here, I notice that the Ritano name is missing fsrom this committee.  How do you explain this?  Apparently she has nothing to do with the party in Rotterdam.
