Some were calling $4-5 gas even before all this unrest in the middle east, this unrest won't make it any better that's for sure. What many are not paying attention to is that food and oil are commodities based on the dollar. This is where people need to look to understand the true damage of inflation because this is where we will always see it first.

Actually they haven't got it quite correct.  The Mobil station on altamont Avenue and Patton Drive is at $3.49.  Go there when I can because it is brand gas.  They many be the loswest Mobil around the area.  In Albany I think it's past 3.60.

Thank you President Obama for your new energy policy! Ban Gulf drilling, ban Alaska drilling and get more reliant on Arab producers. Then when the people of Libya start to throw over a murdering dictator-be the slowest in NATO to commend him. Give a speech and fail to even mention Quaddafi.

Cumberland is one of the lowest. $3.50/gal. Mobil is an absolute rip off!! They are ususally .10/gal over everyone else. And then they boast about their record breaking process!! We haven't gone to a mobile station in 3 years and saved a ton of money!!

Sunoco....the same thing. Since they partnered with PC, their prices are ridiculous.

Depends what Mobil you go to.  Mobil on Altamont is 3.49.  (or at least they were yesterday.)  Mobil in Albany is almost 3.60 I never get gas here.  Sunoco has always been high.  Hess on Curry was higher than the Altamont Mobil.

Getting in and out of that mobil on altamont is too crazy! Between the mobil station and walmart and friendlys and the cars all coming out on patton is an accident waiting to happen. My in-laws have almost gotten hit there a few times.

And some folks don't feel safe there at night.

Don't feel safe there?  Why???  Because of the Walmart?  I have been to both stations on Altamont and the Mobil is certainly easier to get in and out because of the light at Patton and the Mobil people are a lot and I mean a LOT friendlier and helpful.  Even if you go through Walmart parking lot is easier than the place across the street.  That guy marks up his gas much higher than the Mobil can.  The Mobil guy can't be making more than two or three cents per gallon.  It has gone back to the original owner.

Mobil maybe more expensive - but I get better mileage on it.
