Paolino didn't give the PD free reign...quite the opposite...it was Tommasone who gave them the farm in exchange for political
support he never got....you may remember that it was Paolino who negotiated the last SPD contract, as their hatred for Stratton
is well known...and Paolino was able to gain concessions from the PBA...not easy to do.

so mertz(whom I am not defending) was made to look the fool as Tommasone gave away the farm to the police liking?....I'm not following...
the black shirt saga was for Mertz because the police were GREAT with the farm because they would never wear black shirts in front of Paolino????

explain please....and if it has to do with the F'EN Hatfields vs McCoys or the gumbas vs the gumbas I'm going to crap my pants(again)

Yes I know that but once you leave the employ of the town you are no longer an employee of the town.  I get you were speaking about Paolino.  He has every right to go to the meeting and b!tch if he wants to.

Of course you'd say that!! He gave ya yer job YEARS ago!! And ST took it away...

You'd be singin' a different tune if it was ST up at that mic...eh??

I know how difficult it is to be 'fair' and 'balanced' when you are politically indebted!!!

Yes I applaud Gadfly's post as well.  She is often on the mark.  Go Gadfly.

She's backing ND for rotterdam town supervisor. Is she on the mark about that one?

I totally disagree that ND should be Super.  If she runs she will lose.  Gadfly is on the mark about a lot of stuff.  AND NO I WOULD NOT FEEL ANY DIFFERENTLY IF ST OR MERTZ OR SIGNORE OR ANYONE WHO WAS IN OFFICE went to the town meeting to be heard.  What a total a$$ you are.  Because you used to be an employee of the town, doesn't mean you have a gag on your mouth the rest of your life.  Of course I believe in FREE SPEECH.  You only believe in it when it goes your way.

I have NEVER been politically indebted in my life.  YOU have and are.  You really are quite pathetic.  Get over yourself.   Maye everyone who works in government shouldn't be allowed to vote either.  Tht would be your logic.

I have NEVER held political office or EVER worked for anyone in politics or EVER collected money from the taxpayers. I AM a registered blank, who works hard in the private sector to support my family. AND THAT IS THE TRUTH!! And for that I am thankful.

Unlike you who continually brings up your own name all over this blog for God only knows why!!! And thankful that I don't have to kiss the a$$ of the person who hired me and throw a hissy fit over the one who did the firing!! Suck it up and let it go before you become more delusional than you already are! Nobody cares or even remembers who you are or were!!! Although you try to resurect yourself.....NOBODY CARES!!!   Got it??

So stop being a typical old time rotterdamian cause no body gives a sh!t!! You my dear, are part of the problem!! IMHO of course.

You will soon find out that my posts regarding ND are much more accurate than you seem to think...and it's probably because
unlike you, I took the time to get to know her and her intentions....your assessments of the same are mere assumptions....sheer
speculation with no basis other than rumors...most of which eminate from others who never talk to her either.

And yes....I do hope ND runs for Supervisor....BM will never beat Dirty Harry....and while I'm sure you will disagree, ND has the
best chance against him out of all those interested in running for that position.

WOW! gadfly is speaking very highly of Paolino lately......could she be returning to her Dem roots!? Gadfly for town board...as a DEM.. Believe it people...I heard it at DD

Lately? I supported Paolino in both of his election bids. Don't get me wrong...we certainly had our disagreements...but he is a
conservative...and IMO he was the most effective Supervisor to date...which is why I continued to support him, despite occasional
differences. I have no problem with a Democrat as long as they are of the conservative variety.

Actually Tommasone is the one who made a fool of himself...he was stupid enough to believe that giving away the farm at our
expense would buy him political support that he was warned he would not get.

Paolino on the other hand was much more responsible in negotiating PD contracts...and I believe this is why they did not support
him in his re-election bid, as they did the first time. Knowing Paolino, he probably told the PBA that what they were being offered
was the best the Town could do and wouldn't budge...I wouldn't even be surprised if he told them to take the offer or face an
onslaught of pink slips! LOL!

You  may be correct. But right now rotterdam politics is based purely on speculation. Many rotterdamians do not believe that HB is unbeatable. The electorate has changed and the retreads are beginning to look less than desirable. It is the 'old school retreads' that would like nothing more than to have the electorate 'believe' that their candidate is unelectable or electable. Politics is famous for.....'if you say it enough times, they will believe it'.

In the good old days, there were never this many hats in the political arena. There was ONE dem and ONE rep! Today there are multiples within the two party system and independents!! Proof that the electorate's way of thinking is changing. And also proof that the retread and the old way of doing politics and the two party system is being challenged. And  there needs to be candidates that will appeal to the 'new and upcoming electorate'.

May I also add and question why ND would choose to run for super when BM has already thrown his hat in the ring? She knows he is running. She knows he is seeking the rep endorsement, being a registered rep himself. She knows he will also guarantee a second line (nntp). She knows he is a staunch conservative. She knows that he showed very well in the last election. She knows that his first fundraiser for this election was proof of his supporters. She knows that he is very well liked and respected and educated and more than capable of the job of service.

So I guess my question is............is she trying to be a spoiler??

BT--I am the only one on this board who does not have a polticial job or needs to be indebted TO ANYONE FOR MY JOB NOW OR PAST. Never got a job that I wasn't qualified for.  While you're busy dazzling folks with your BS because you are a know-nuthing and do-nothing hack, I have worked hard in many sectors of this community. You sit down at the Assembly/Senate thinking the gravy train will never end and you and whoever else uses your blog name continue to type away..  Don't be so sure Bozo.  The Dems at the Legislature have your number as do some influential  Reps.  Delusional??? I don't think so.  You should be thanking DR they didn't kick your a$$ out of your job when Patacki was in.  Gadfly could back that statement up.  You just never know who is having dinner with whom.  LOL
