I was at Town Hall and the Senior Center this morning  --- apparently the dictators have refused to back down and insist on ABUSING the good employees of the town.    This is beyond pathetic.

At this point, the only 2  town employees who should be moved are the Supervisor and the Deputy Supervisor  -- and the only place they should be moved is  OUT THE DOOR of town hall.

Hey, that's the way to insure you keep your seat on the "oh so coveted" parks commission.  Remember, you serve at the will of and for the pleasure of, the supervisor.

Actually, I was appointed by the entire Town Board for a 3 year term --- Neither myself nor any member of the commission serves at the "will and pleasure" of the supervisor.

Oh -- and the supervisor and deputy supervisor are EMPLOYEES of the residents of the town.  They work for us and NOT the other way around.

The Parks and Recreation Commission is an INDEPENDENT entity -- just like the Planning Commission, Zoning Board and other legally established boards or commissions in the town.   None of the other boards would tolerate the interference and disrespect shown to us by the supervisor and the deputy supervisor.

Furthermore, I am a resident and voter in this town.   I am perfectly within my rights to express my extreme displeasure --- actually I am appalled --- by the treatment of town employees by the supervisor and the deputy supervisor.   I am a quiet man by nature -- but on the issue of the abusing power and abusing the decent hard-working employees of the town -- I WILL NOT REMAIN SILENT.

They can threaten me and try to intimidate me  -- but I will not back down.

I have a 3 year term -- and not an employee of the town -- but a member of an independent commission/board of the town.   So any such threats would be idle threats.

But when it comes to standing up against people who would  ABUSE  town employees -- and make no doubt about this ... this is at the least emotional/psychological abuse  ...  then I am not afraid to take a stand and take whatever consequences may come from it.

From what I have witnessed, it is not enough for the supervisor and deputy supervisor to be defeated at the polls ... they should resign their offices in disgrace.      No person should have to put up with the ABUSE that they are dishing out to these fine employees.
