Wasn't LD the one who wrote the article in the gazette? Did the parks and recreation committee and town board reconsider???

I hardly think that they can prevent texting during a town board meeting or ANY public meeting. There are many parents who are texting to their children and many people texting for work issues.

I couldn't care less if anyone texts or uses a cell phone during the meeting.     They go on long enough -- I am planning to bring a little tv or radio the next time.

the larger problem is an individual being nominated to the parks and rec(blackberry/cell phone  vs  heckler's veto)

the people who dream up these rules remind me of the residue found on a nice soft piece of "northern" used to wipe my rectal orifice the morning after the super bowl following the consumption of:
6-12oz beers
a dozen or so hot wings
horseradish diip slatherd on cornchips
a large bowl of chilli with beans
a breakfast of bran muffins
under cooked tacos which usually results in some gastric distress
Grape Soda which produces a know repeatable result which looks like the green outfit our absent town clerk loves to wear.
