Amazing!!!  According to some on this board, Sex Started in the Sixties!  Before that unmarried women NEVER had sex!

Where did you read that?  I was answering senders claim that Heffner and Flint are WHY abortion is necessary; when my point is Heffner and Flint are the product of a sexual revolution.  The hyper sexual culture in American is the continuation of the 60's movement.  The porn industry has grown 10 fold since the 60's.  I'm not talking about unmarried women NEVER having sex, but pop culture and art glorifying sexual promiscuity without consequence.  Just watch TV (which is our literature of today), and their depiction of sex.  I watch ABC family, and I’m amazed to see what they consider “family” shows.  If you’re a 14 year old girl, your perception of the social norm is, you must be wearing tight sexually provocative clothes and makeup in order to fit in.

As a matter of fact, you are correct, that sex and sexual promiscuity has been around since the beginning of time.  There have been consequences for sexual promiscuity since the beginning of time; unwanted pregnancy, STD's etc.  Our society’s view on how to deal with the consequences differs from generation to generation.  The era after the 20's dealt with these consequences by stigmatizing unmarried sexual promiscuity.  The 60's sexual revolution and the feminist movement didn't want the stigma any longer, so they choose to deal with the consequences of promiscuity with penicillin and abortion on demand.

The Last Line of my Link:
"The idea that sexual promiscuity dates back to the 1960s has been forever stripped of its myth. As much as people like Newt Gingrich, Jerry Falwell and William Bennett might like to blame the liberal hippies of the 1960s for the mess the world is in today, it would behoove them instead to blame someone else: their own parents."

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Liberals want to break crosses and ban the 10 commandments in government buildings because they are afraid it pushes a religion and values that some may not agree with.  BUT...Public schools putting condoms on cucumbers, government subsidizing planned parenthood, Hollywood producing hyper sexual content on public airwaves, government money paying for a "I am Gay" ad campaign doesn't push a set of social values to unsuspecting impressionable young minds that parents may not agree with?  This cultural fight between the left and right in this country is about social attitude of “if it feels good, do it” versus “resisting temptation”.  Nobody ever said sexual promiscuity began in the sixties, but rather the social acceptance toward such behavior did.

I am a liberal and do not want to see any banning of the Ten Commandments (although I try to live by 613 commnandments) or any of your crosses.  I am a liberal this does not apply.  Another scare tactic by Cicero.  In fact I thought they should have left up the statue of Sadam Hussein.  What did taking it down do for the world---nothing.  Just added to the amount of trash to be accounted for.

Not in my entire life have I ever put a condom on a cucumber.
Just a little  oil and vinegar will do just fine.

That being said, these stupid (scripted, they all are) "reality" shows are doing nothing to help out the situation we're  talking about here, and they're aimed at kids.

Remember when MTV used to show music?
Now, not so much.

It started with"The Real World", where these kids lived in a $12k per month apartment in Midtown Manhattan, having sex at random, between hissy fits.
Yes kids, that's "Real".

Next up? "16 And Pregnant", which provides tacit approval, because hey, if she got through it, why can't I ?
"Who Wants To marry a millionaire?"
By all means, I'm willing to parade around like an idiot, and whore myself out to a complete stranger, as long as he has enough money.
And what's up with "Toddlers With Tiaras", which is just plain creepy.
Nice way to instill a real sense of values there mom, but hey, she was just going to be a stripper when she grew up anyway.

I'd like to apologize for the length of my posts, but come sit on daddy's lap, and I'll tell you a little something about the media.
I have a degree in it.

When you saw the headline "America Wins World War 2", did you doubt it?
Of course not, you had no reason to, because that's where you got all your information from.
I'm still pretty sure though, that we won.

I used to run master control, for CBS, and NBC, though my first job in TV, was for a local network TV station.
They encouraged you, to teach yourself every job in the building, just in case you had to fill in for somebody else.

It was 2AM. I  played the National  Anthem, and turned off the transmitter, and started to fool around on the Chyron, which is that thing that puts those annoying graphics on the screen, and runs the "crawl" at the bottom of the screen, warning you of certain doom.

The phone rings, and my first thought was who in the hell has this number?
It was my boss.

Boy did I get chewed out.

What are you doing Tom?
Learning the Chyron.
Yes, I can see that.
How?
You turned of the transmitter, but you didn't turn of the cable link.
Uh-oh.

You put up a F*cking blizzard warning!
But it's July.
Yeah, and they'll still believe it, and  had you put up a tornado warning, they would all be in their cellars, because this is where they get their information.
If the weather man decides just for the hell of it, to lie, there will be people walking out there  in the snow, wearing sandals.

And what the hell was "who's a good dog? yes YOU are", DOES YOUR DOG WATCH TELEVISION IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?
At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm fired, so I say "no, we have HBO, so I'm pretty sure he's watching that movie about the two dogs, and a cat, trying to find their way home, because who the hell wants to watch endless mattress commercials?"

So, am I fired?
No, you really do nice work, but you have to understand the powers that  you now yield, because, it  affects people's lives!
and anything you impart, they believe.
And shut the f*cking cable link off!
We're a major network TV station,  people believe everything we say, and why wouldn't they?
People park their kids in front of a TV set, instead of raising them.

I made calls to NYU, and The Institute Of Audio Research, both of which is was attending.
I'm getting blackballed?

No, it was a recommendation.

Trust me, I've been chewed  out far than than out worse, but I'm considering having plastic surgery, to remove that grin.

It does not work all that well at funerals.

A child needs a rod in their back and a foundation on which to stand.....and it has to be all theirs...their choice,,,their responsibility and their consequences

they need to be taught to resist ANYTHING ANYTHING AT ALL THAT COMES IN FRONT OF THEM until they weigh it out...THAT IS REASON

ABORTION OR NOT....it's just that personal....we need to teach kids how to defend their minds...from Heffner/politicians/disney/falwell/cable/the
weather channel etc etc.......

life is that responsible and hard.....it's lightly controlled chaos by the media and the rest is up to us

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
