He's in Washington accepting another award-lol. The comparison between Niskayuna/Rotterdam and Schenectady is stark (as usual). But so is Albany and Schenectady.

Albany actually has a Mayor who leads and declared a snow emergency. The main streets in Albany are cleared down to the pavement. Anyone that agrees with DVR should drive up Union Avenue. Because no snow emergency is ever declared a lane and a half blocked with snowed in cars. Up that hill it narrows to one way. Absolutely disgusting as is the condition of the City plows. Drove the entire Capital Region and Schenectady is BY FAR the worst in snow removal. But nobody can say anything and everyone has to pretend we have a Mayor that gives a fig.

Union Avenue is a side street -- and not even in Bellevue --- my comments on Feb 1 were that  3  MAIN ROADS in Bellevue had just been plowed when I was driving through Bellevue  and that the side streets were problematic.

So --  #1) I made no comment about the condition of the roads in any part of the city other than Bellevue
#2)  apparently my comment that the side roads were problematic ... was spot on  ..as you are claiming that Union Avenue was not in good shape.

Bottomline -- you must love posting attacks at anything I have posted .. but you don't even bother to actually read what I have posted ... so you make yourself look like a jack a**.

Union Avenue is not a side road. It's a gateway for Union College, St John's and Ellis Hospital. No one thinks that the City is doing a decent job on snow removal. Maybe if you drove around more and posted less you would know what you are posting about.

I am staying home tomorrow and not going to worry about anything but cleaning my driveway.

Mmmm    Gee, no job, living off the taxpayer dole.    And where's the deed that shows it's your driveway

By the way, you still haven't told us what time you were at city hall on Wed Jan 19 when you claim to have seen and talked with Stratton.

He is getting fat and happy on the dole himself!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Ch 6 did a report today about streets in the city.  They interviewed someone in Bellevue, who told the truth that they don't get good timely snowplowing.  It was done in the afternoon on Wednesday, the snow had pretty much stopped many hours before, but the woman interviewed expressed how the city does not provide good services.

And some other street there got plowed ONLY because a private business owner needed to access his business.

After a few weeks ago when Carl Olsen had expressed grave concern for the slush that would turn to ice in the deep freeze that was imminent, today's gazette seemed to have him trying to justify why the city does such a lousy job.  The Wednesday story indicated that the focus is on the priority streets and the wording was basically that people are never far away from one of these priority streets.  Of all the STUPID comments for a servant of the taxpayer to say!!!!!!   HOW DARE HE!    He did not explain HOW people would get to the priority streets!   That would be like a real estate agent near CRown Point trying to pressure prospective buyers into buying in NY telling them about being so close to picturesque VT and then not telling them that there's no bridge to get there.   That's like a municipality moving a fire station and telling people that they will only be a stone's through away but ignoring the fact that there are railroad tracks where long trains take 15 minutes to get by.

And Stratton in the interview says about the plow operators "they have limited time."    Yep, don't go passed the arbitrary limit.  Can't spend that money on vital services.  It's just so absolutely important to give money to those millionaires and make the taxpayers suffer.

Flipping through the channels and guess what I saw people.  Someone with this little round balding spot on the head and hair sticking up, talking, waving an arm as he spoke, kind of the way Julie Andrews did when showing Anne Hathaway how a princess is supposed to wave, don't know what the name of the show is, our daughter was watching it within the past few weeks.

WHOOOSSSHHHHHHH   Speed through the streets, heave that snow on the sidewalks.   Just like Vince Riggi said at the council meeting a week ago.

Homeowners don't pay enough in taxes,   If they can't do their sidewalks themselves, they have to pay for someone to do it.

Nice work Schenectady --  Bury those sidewalks

It looks like the city found a way to make their snow problem your problem along with making some money in fines if you don't keep the sidewalk shoveled.

OMG this morning was absolutely nuts.  I couldnt get down half of the roads I needed to and got stuck twice.  The side roads in the Hil were NOT plowed at all and cars were everywhere.  There wasnt even a lane open regardless of parked cars.  This afternoon was worse.  I need to get a camera because it was unreal.  Stanley street looks like a war zone and there are cars buried and you cant get through.  Emmett Street is buried in.  Albany Street is BARELY a two lane road.  I couldnt even get coffee this morning because that was all blocked off.  Buses were stuck and one was being towed out of a snowbank.  WTF???   >

Oh, but after being criticized for his total lack of leadership ikn this city, Stratton gets carl Olson to say in the paper that they concentrate on the "priority streets" and that way, well, you're only a few blocks away from those streets.  Yeah, but you STILL have to be able to get to those main streets.

DV supports Stratton.  DV thinks the streets in the city are cleaned very well, that side streets are just "problematic."  The definition of "problematic" is:  having the nature or appearance of a problem.     DV thinks there is appearnce of a problem but not really a problem.

Stratton fails to lead, fails to declare a snow emergency, thus fails to get streets plowed properly, buses get stuck and need to be towed.  But Stratton said it costs too much money to do a snow emergency.  But there is money to be given to the millionaires.  Do you see a problem with that DV??????   No money for absolute vital essential services for the taxpayers, but there is money to give to the the millionaire political cronies downtown.  Explain that one.

Right now, you cant even get one car down those streets.  And the people are walking in the street with kids and they WONT move out of the way of a spinning car.  Are you serious?  Do you not see the big bus coming right at you and cant stop?

This is a total disregard for the safety and well being of the people in that area.

My question is.......where is the police dept? Where is the fire dept? Where are the EMT's....the ambulance drivers? Are their beds so nicely feathered by the city government that they are not speaking up? When it comes to public safety, where are the men and women who provide that service to their community?

I'm am beyond speechless to think that not only the city government is incompetent, but all those in public safety are not speaking up in behalf of not only the residents/businesses, but even for their own safety while driving to an emergency call!!! WTF?

And Union Ave is well traveled by ambulances transporting people to and from Ellis Hospital. These nitwits have GOT to be voted out of office.......this year!!!!
