Both Saratoga and Amsterdam have declared snow emergencies starting at 9pm to clear off main streets. Meanwhile in moronic Schenectady Mayor SOS refuses to lead.
Schenectady has been in a state of emergency for at least a decade. A snow storm is the least of the city's problems. |

The Mayor has his own plan for snow removal, Mother Nature put the snow there and it's her responsibility to remove it. |

It's been in a DEM death grip for 35 straight years. The fact that the highest taxed City can't afford a basic snow emergency speaks volumes about the complete implosion. |

The 2 blocks of State Street near proctors looks great even if the rest of the city looks like something from a third world country. |

If they could only consolidate with the townfolks......then they could pay for a 'state of emergency' with the townfolks money!!! |

Sounds alot like Stratton. Maybe the voices in his head could try to dial the phone to declare a snow emergency this time.
I was actually referring to the drooling nattering nayboobs of negativity. |

The DEM "leadership" also resembles some 3rd world banana republic. Cuba-1962. Of course it snows every winter that's why some plans should be ready to go. Emergency? What emergency? We can't afford no emergency. We're too busy working together to hand out tax breaks to crony capitalists and cook up illegal pension padding schemes. |

If the roads can be cleaned without declaring a state of emergency, it actually saves the taxpayers money.
The previous snowstorms were hardly major ones. The current one will probably rise to the level of an emergency --- if the forecasters are correct in their projected snowfalls for Tuesday night into Wednesday. |

So will the SOS (Symbol of Socialism) mayor declare a snow emergency during this storm. My bets are a big NO. His office says "its costs a lot of money." But how come there IS money for the bakery, the gin mills, the theaters, the hair-do salons, the hotels, etc????? Oh yeah, we live in the socialist city of the state. Get your cameras ready everyone
Snow emergencies announced in: Cohoes, Menands, Ravena, East Greenbush, Schodack, Waterford, Saratoga and Amsterdam. Mayor SOS was not "in" and refuses the phone. Lights are on but nobody home. |

BREAKING NEWS They are towing cars on McClellan. At 5PM there were only about four cars between State and Bradley, and one was being towed. Maybe a lot of others were towed earlier because the street looked nearly "empty" of parked cars. When I say "towing" I mean there was a tow truck parked in front of the car hooking up, and a police car behind the vehicle to be towed, with its lights flashing. Take that MikeChristine! |

On the way to work this morning I watched a bus have to back up because he couldnt get through. Cars are parked on the "curb" and it was too narrow to get cars through. I also watched a 3 car accident on one block and a 2 car accident minutes later a few blocks away. It was nuts. Oh and the hydrants on Stanley Street are still buried. In front of the school too. |
