A very high up dem tells me that he is given just enough responsibility to make him feel important(battling conservatives on this forum and being an attack dog mostly) and to keep him around as a stump worker (of which he is hardly useful.) He won't be put into a role where he will embarrass the party any more than he has.

I'm not a fan of DM.....however, I don't think there are many dems that have worked harder than her for their party. She IS a party loyalist!

I think Diane is doing a great job at the Senior Center and she does a great job in her work for the party.

WEll DVR and others--I have been checking on the budget quickly and Cuomo has proposed abig block grant for some of the SOFA programs.  Boomer will already know this I think but the NORCs were not included in the block grant they have retained their separate mention.  Boomer was working on that with some of the politicians.

But I would suspect the Senior Center, Marco or Severson or the Town for that matter is unaware that proposed for elimination of discrete funding for the Community Empowerment Initiative, Congregate Services Initiative, Elderly Abuse Educationa dn Outreach ProgramEnriched Social Adult Day Centers Program, Foster Grandparent Program (this is a hit for Catholic Charities and StateWide Senior Action Council)  LongTerm Care Respite, Patient's Rights Hotline and Advocacy, Regional Caregivers Centers for Ex ellence and RSVP.  These would be eligible for funding through a new local competitive performance grant established in the Exec. budget which is intended to support priority initiatives that address emrging or ongoing matters affecting older adults and pursuing innovations in assisting older adults.

Your comments are ridiculous.   I post on this website because I choose to do so --- I was never given the responsibility to do so. I do it because I choose to do so.
I don't battle conservatives --- I respect  real conservatives ..... i battle "nattering nayboobs of negativity" and the "faux consersavtives" who post here but wouldn't know true conservatism if it bit them on the hindquarters.
As far as my work for the town committee, I do more than most committee persons, have accomplished quite a bit working with the "inner core" who do most of the heavy lifting and look forward to serving on the committee for many years.
