Gibson is proposing a nuclear power plant large enough to provide energy for 300,000 homes. According to the Congressman -- when interviewed by Fred Dicker -- Congressmen Owens and Tonko are "generally supportive" of the idea.
It would take 10 years to go through the approval and building process ... lets not waste time ... lets get a couple of nuclear reactors built in the Hudson Valley by 2021 and lower our power rates.

1. The technology for Nuclear power today is LIGHT years beyond 3 mile island and Chernobyl. 2. Tout the green alternatives all you want, the ONLY viable alternative to fossil fuels for large scale power production at this time is Nuclear.. case closed.

Since it will take at least 10 years to get a nuclear plant approved and built .. we need to get working on this right away.
If Congressman Gibson can get this project off the ground, he will have a great career in politics.
