Actually, it might be ok during the day for the college kids. However, I wouldn't recommend venturing out at night.

If it does stay open 24hrs expect a lot of calls to the police from there, the one on Wolf Rd. in Albany is next to a few bars and sure enough they used to pour in there.

Great view. Too bad the single story on-slab chain restaurant is going in. THAT'S PLANNING!

The restaurant was built over 35 years ago  --- when the GOP controlled the Mayor's Office and City Hall ... so blame them for the planning.

Also known as the good ol' days. When you could actually drive in the City without potholes and cavity popping chuck holes.

Since when does the Mayor or City Hall plan private chains restaurants? The current DEM working together crew couldn't plan a picnic.

So apparently controlling things for the better part of a decade means no improvement, DV?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Just a question, but how do the people in County District 3 go ahead and continue to elect Ms. Savage over and over with all the showing of support and sending their tax dollars through the Metroplex to every other district except for her own?  Or am I forgetting about the wonders of the Metroplex that are happening in Niskayuna and Scotia / Glenville?

It's helps when you are on every line but one and run against some unknown who left for Lake Placid. After a landslide everything changes.

It is because she does a great job representing her district and a great job as Chair of the County Leg.

Thirty years ago, the City may not have 'looked' as pretty Downtown, but at least the schools were better, the neighborhoods were safe places to live, and the taxpayers were paying around the same per $1,000 as other surrounding towns.

The last decade has produced high crime, abuse of social services in the City, a failing school system and millions of taxpayer dollars flushed into for-profit businesses which will never repay for its free ride.

Metroplex has wasted $45 million dollars. The City has wasted far more by taking hundreds of locations off the tax rolls. The DEMS have failed the taxpayers, period.

It is all about downtown and to hell with the rest. Who doesn't get THAT?

I wouldn't just say it's the DEMS, though. Remember who, besides the person who actually WORKS at Proctors (Karen Johnson), is actually the biggest cheerleader on the council for giving Proctors all the money.

It's the one of the legislators that stands up and states that a community has to be built around a THEATER.  That would be Bob Farley - R - Scotia / Glenville.

(Heck, really, the County Legislature is such a joke, it should be put on not in the County Building, but on the stage at Proctors.)

At least when it comes to voting on giving money to Proctors, Ms. Johnson abstains from voting considering her employer, even though she'll go on a 15 minute tirade as to why they should vote to give the money.

And also, as someone once stated, but I don't know of proof of it, the Metroplex actually came in under a Republican led County Legislature.

I wonder if you present your ticket from a show at any of the establishments downtown if you can get a free Grand Slam.

This has got to be one of the dumbest posts ever. The GOP are responsible for every past private building? How about the "beautiful" nonprofit Union College Graduate Center across the street? How did that ice cube tray ever pass the all DEM Planning Commission?

This is the same idiotic all DEM Planning Commission that won't approve a Walgreen's on a dirt parking lot because of pedestrian issues. Like State Street in Vale is the Champs Elysee. These DEM morons put up obstacle after obstacle to private sector building, job creation, sales tax creation while pass every nonprofit boondoggle. Watch the latest at Ellis Hospital. The they wonder why tax revenues and employment are down.

     n.

The fact is that someone criticized the current administration for allowing that restaurant building to be built.
My post was just making the point that the building was approved and built over 35 years ago -- under a prior administration.

So the "dumbest post ever" was the one blaming the current administration for something that happened when most of them were in grade school.

Funny you bring that up Benny - I hear that Metroplex already has a project in the works for that corner.  Of course, it's all hush hush.

We should be hearing something in the coming weeks.
