WOW....that's a pretty profound statement!

Of course one could imply something as profound in reverse and imply that it was the liberals who concocted this entire travesty for political motives. Like motivating people like you to make these 'nut job' posts......yes?

We gotta get Oliver Stone to make a movie on this one, huh?

Graham is doing a great job of propaganda with none of the facts.  What is he afraid of???

Unlike Graham, I'll wait for some FACTS in this case before I make any statements about the shooter.

Don't accuse Graham of something the media has been doing all afternoon.  The most disturbing is the narrative the media was putting out WITHOUT the facts.  They would do a whole segment speculating, claiming the guy was an afghan war vet, and then during the last 5 seconds of the segment say "we still don't know all the facts".  It amazes me to watch ALL the cable news create such a unison diatribe.  It’s as if the state of the union is in jeopardy of falling into civil war.

I agree with Graham.  The political class, in order to demonize grassroots movements like the Tea Party will use this.  And people like Box and Tommy will think it is great, because they haven't realized they are just pawns of BOTH parties. Used to keep the political class in power, and any real challenge to the American political power structure will be met with resistance.

There is no "Change".  The American public has been ill educated for generations, and have never been taught to recognize the difference between political rhetoric and reality.

There will be more of this type of thing.

A revolution one elected representative at a time.

As constituents are ignored, unstable zealots may take up arms against those that represent them.

The bizarre thing is that this congresswoman, while a democrat, seems to be really quite conservative.

Oh and he murdered a judge who was appointed by Bush 41.

Not only does he apparently have substantial mental problems - but he set his cause back on numerous levels.

Just watched all of the videos the shooter make, and he is totally insane and delusional. I'm glad people are saving the videos as allready reports are out that he was  a member of the tea party. He definetly would not be as he is against the US constitution and the American flag

It has been nearly 24 hours and it has been wall-to-wall coverage on cable news, speculating, and inferring a political or Tea Party connection.  What I am surprised NOT to hear during the 24 hours of speculation is what his political affiliation is.  It's public information.  Doesn't Arizona have a board of elections or something similar where you would register to vote?  Maybe they have different laws, I don't know.  The guy was 22 years old, he has only been eligable to vote in ONE presidential election.  How political could he have been?

They are already talking about beefing up security detail for members of Congress due to this incident.  This will also be the opportunity for Obama to push for the civilian national security force he wanted to create.  Like Rahm said, "never let a serious crisis go to waste".

After this past election, there is one thing Republicans and Demcrats can agree on.  There is only room for 2 parties in American government.  All others will be crushed.  IMO

The sad part is as nutso this wacko is, he will be used as a talking point every time someone voices their discontent at some system/ideas....
as inflation ensues and the cost to live in one's home increases and the more folks wander around without jobs/direction these wack-jobs will be
the norm.....folks dont like 'love legislation'.....

If they 'beef-up' security it will cost $$$$$ along with national healthcare and I dont think the public will take it......I say they have a choice...
security or national healthcare.......

That is correct.  He claimed to be King of the Jews.  You can't have TWO Kings.  He was creating civil unrest.  We know how that story ended.

Idiom Definitions for 'Cross to bear'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If someone has a cross to bear, they have a heavy burden of responsibility or a problem that they alone must cope

Authorities Suspect Gunman in Arizona Rampage Posted Pre-Shooting Video Online
By Jana Winter
Published January 08, 2011 | FoxNews.com

The 22-year-old man suspected in the deadly shooting rampage Saturday in Arizona was described by the local sheriff as "unstable" and with a "kind of troubled past."
Fox News sources identified the suspected shooter as Jared Loughner.
At a press conference held Saturday evening, Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik said the man suspected in the mass shooting that left six dead and more than a dozen injured has a criminal background and "there is reason to believe he has a mental issue."
"When you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government. The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous," the sheriff said.
"And unfortunately, Arizona I think has become the capital. We have become the mecca for prejudice and bigotry."
Loughner is suspected of posting a series of YouTube videos that show a focus on literacy and currency -- as well as his distrust in the government.
"Hello, my name is Jared Lee Loughner," one of the videos says, in words appearing on the screen. "This video is my introduction to you! My favorite activity is conscience dreaming; the greatest inspiration for my political business information. Some of you don't dream - sadly."
The video, posted Dec. 15, later turns more political.
"The majority of citizens in the united states of America have never read the united states of America's constitution. You don't have to accept the federalist laws," the video's titles say. "In conclusion, reading the second United States constitution, I can't trust the current government because of the ratifications: the government is implying mind control and brainwash on the people by controlling grammar. No! I won't pay debt with a currency that's not backed by gold and silver! No! I won't trust in god!"
Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was among the people critically wounded in the shooting at a public event in Tucson, and several people were killed, including a federal judge and a 9-year-old boy.
Officials have said little publicly about the suspect in custody, but law enforcement sources who asked to remain anonymous identify him as Loughner.
Records obtained from the Pima County, Ariz. criminal database show Loughner was arrested in 2007 for possessing drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor charge. The records suggest that Loughner paid a $20 fee and completed a court-ordered program for drug offenders.
Three months later he was cited for running a stop sign, according to court documents.
Another record shows a 2008 arrest for what’s described as a “local charge” in Marana, Ariz., 20 miles northwest of Tucson. The non-criminal charge was dismissed.
Loughner's page on YouTube lists Tucson as his hometown. He also said he attended Northwest Aztec College and Pima County Community College. And in one of the videos, he says he is a military recruit.
But an Army official told Fox News Loughner attempted to enlist in the Army in December 2008 but was denied.
The Army provided this statement:
"The Army has confirmed that the suspect was never in the Army. He attempted to enlist in the Army but was rejected for service. In accordance with the Privacy Act, we will not discuss why he was rejected."..............>>>>..................>>>>..................Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/01/08/shooting-suspects-apparent-youtube-video/#ixzz1AY4561D5
