"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot."
On Jan. 8, in Tucson, Ariz., six people were killed and 13 were injured by a lone gunman named Jared Loughner. Within hours of this shooting, the tragedy became a “political frenzy.” Back and forth, back and forth, emissions of political views were heard, protesters were getting prepared, political parties were blaming each other. For what? To gain momentum for political achievement? At this particular time, we need to get back on the court and keep our eye on the ball, stop the growing defi cit in our own moral courtyard, realize that Jared Loughner was a mental health issue — and have allegiance to the victims in this horrifi c crime.
Box -there's nothing wrong with a man crying, its a God given emotion and it shows feelings, caring, honesty.

rpforpres, I quite agree with you. There is nothing wrong with a man crying or showing his feelings. In some cases I consider it a sign of strength.
I was referring to Bumbles post of : "people, are sick and tired of the liberal socialists whining and running like scared dogs with their tails between their legs every time there is a tragedy in this country" Bumble looks at "liberal socialists" as weak cowards... I wonder how many of those fighting for him now in Iraq and Afghanistan bumble would consider to be "liberal socialists" cowards?

WOW box, you sure know how to back peddle AND mix apples and oranges. The liberal socialists ARE whining babies who were not and are not prepared, at the government level to handle tragedies. They lack strength, leadership and preparedness.
They are clearly not 'unifiers'. While they are off apologizing for the behavior of the American people, they also divide the country with their unpopular political programs and racism. Their strength/backbone = bullying with no leadership or unifying skills.
And they continue to whine and look beyond their own backyards for people, other than themselves to blame when tragedy or discourse happens. Liberal socialists are known and good at creating victims. Unfortunately, they have placed themselves in that same victim role, with no personal responsibility.
Now lets see ya bring out the crates of apples and oranges while back peddling.....k?

Read the Presidents speech from Arizona. The "Liberal Socialist" President's speech has been widely commented on positively by both the Left & the Right.
Bumble preaches what he hears from Beck/Druggy Rush/Hannity, etc. It seldom equates with reality.

WOW.....the pres of the usa gives a eulogy! HURRAY!
Does this negate 2 years of dividing the country? Does this negate 2 years of playing the race card? Does this negate 2 years of the spineless liberal socialist agenda? Does this negate the liberal socialists for brushing the muslim attack on ft.hood under the rug.
Does this mean the liberal socialists will be appearing on the Beck or Hannity show? Or perhaps better yet....on Rush or Savage's radio talk show? Probably NOT, since they have already shown their ineptness of unification. Remember, they are just victims of the right?

If Bumble ever turns out to be a mad anti-govt shooter, we can post this rant as proof that he was motivated by the Right Wing Hate Press!

The speech was pretty good. Not so sure applaud lines and cheering was called for. I would have preferred a more somber eulogy tone to the speech. At certain points it started sounding like a campaign rally. The fact he mentioned the tone of national public discourse at this tragic event was shameful. The whole civil discourse conversation has been manufactured by left wing media in an attempt to take the momentum away from the conservative movements like the Tea Party. You will begin seeing establishment Republicans take this opportunity to damage the reputation among national conservative leaders, because they would also like to take the momentum away from this grassroots conservative movement. What the elites from both parties do not recognize is, that this conservative movement isn't being driven by leaders like Rush or Hannity. It is a genuine rejection of the current governance by the two party systems. Both Republicans and Democrats have been rejected and it doesn't take Rush or anybody else for Americans to recognize what is going on with the nation. When the people look at the state of the Union, and look back to the leadership that led us here, they begin to realize that the same names and same families surround every president for the past 40 years. Obama is surrounded by Clinton people and Bush was surrounded by his father’s people, and so on and so forth. The political class is the political class, and that is what is being rejected by Americans.
I thought, for the first time, he sounded like he was WITH America instead of apologizing FOR America.
What concerned me was the logo t-shirts - when have you ever seen that at a Eulogy or event of this type? That one thing set the tone that it was more of a campaign stop than sympathy for the nation / families.

Nope, would never be a mad shooter. And remember....the az shooter has yet to be equated to anti-govt. He was just a schizo nut job whacko!
But I WILL continue to speak my love and respect for country, constitution, military, freedom and flag. And the liberal socialists can stomp their feet and whine all they want about it.....k?

Beware knee-jerk political reactions to Arizona shootings
Tragedy tends to be the catalyst for bad legislation, but an informed populace knows to show restraint. Decisions should never be made in the heat of the moment. The attempted murder of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is quickly turning into a political circus, with both Democrats and Republicans seeking to exploit the calamity for their own gain. There has been an uproar over whether the attitudes and expressions used by political pundits and politicians inspired the violence allegedly perpetrated by Jared Lee Loughner. That is a laughable argument. The accused and any accomplices he may have had are the only ones responsible for the shooting, and to claim that the rhetoric of television personalities was an underlying cause is clearly absurd. To follow this train of thought would be to admit that violent movies, video games or even books are capable of planting homicidal thoughts in our mind. The obvious truth is that the accused is a deranged individual who had reportedly shown signs of instability for years, and he should be the only one held accountable for his actions. Blame has not been limited to the court of public opinion, though. New York Rep. Carolyn McCarthy is planning to introduce gun control legislation to Congress in the coming weeks. This knee-jerk reaction is completely irresponsible in a free society. Rep. McCarthy’s personal stake in this, the 1993 shooting death of her husband, only calls her actual motivations into question. No matter your stance on the Second Amendment, it should be apparent that attempting to use the emotional roller coaster of such a horrific event for personal or political gain is a despicable act. Society is based on reason, a trait that Thomas Jefferson warned against abandoning, suggesting that “man once surrendering his reason, has no remaining guard against absurdities the most monstrous.” We cannot allow this tragedy to be exploited in order to push legislation through Congress or to demonize political opponents. Jared Lee Loughner will get his day in court and any accomplices, when found, will get theirs. Until that time, we must resist the temptation to spread blame to those who are innocent or to place further restrictions on our constitutional rights.
