MT, you do NOT know the state of the Governor's soul.   Are you his confessor?   We - as individual
lay persons do NOT have the power to decide who is and who is not in a state of sin.  It is not YOUR place
to decide who can and who can not receive Holy Communion.  Unless of course, you are deluded enough to believe that you are the Pope or a bishop.

It is not up to me to judge Mr. Cuomo's personal life.  And I will not do so.

Obviously, you have a reading comprehension issue - along with moral issues:

Quoted Text
If a politician such as Kerry “still presents himself to receive the Holy Eucharist, the minister of Holy Communion must refuse to distribute it, ” Cardinal Ratzinger wrote.

He added that such as denial does not mean that the minister of Communion is judging the politician’s soul but is a reflection that he is in a state of obstinate persistence in manifest grave sin.

“Nor is the minister of Holy Communion passing judgment on the person’s subjective guilt, but rather is reacting to the person’s public unworthiness to receive Holy Communion due to an objective situation of sin.”

Perhaps you should study more about your supposed Catholic faith, instead of listening to Bishops who teach and practice contrary to Church teaching.

A) I am not going to argue with a hate-filled person who claims to be Catholic but is constantly bashing
the Church.
B) I am not going to discuss Governor Cuomo's marriage - period.
C) The Governor's personal life has nothing to do with this thread -  "Cuomo, No New Taxes" - so I will
only respond to posts that interest me and have something to do with the topic.

For far, much ado about nothing. At the same time he was cutting a few salaries 5% he gave a lob job to horrible RINO DeDe Scalafavozzi who cost the REPS a Congressional seat. That post could have gone to DEM Mayor SOS and really helped people. The former DEC Commis also lauded on his feet with a huge salary over at the Comptroller's. He was fired by Paterson and has no fiscal expertise. The new DEC Commiss is another luddite who will continue to chase private sector businesses out of State.

A tax cap without huge cuts in State mandates will put more of a squeeze on property owners. School funding should come out of State sales taxes not property taxes. That would offer some meaningful relief. Entire State agencies need to be abolished. The State needs to do less, tax less and regulate less. Nobody cares about his girlfriend, his rhetoric or who he sounds like. We have a $12 BILLION deficit that needs to be resolved.

Speaking of state mandates and wasted money -- I see Hugh Farley wants a leadership post.  He probably
has his eyes set on an expensive tax-payer paid trip to some exotic destination.   Then he will be sipping
drinks with little umbrellas by the pool   ... while his constituents go to work to pay for the over 500 tax increases and multitudes of unfunded state mandates that he has voted on in 34 years.

You got crushed. Get over it. Landslide who?

But no complaint about Senator Breslin getting a $20,500 lulu for assistant minority "leader". Typical hypocrisy.

Breslin wasn't elected to represent Schenectady County in the State Senate -- Farley was --  I am more
concerned about MY state legislators.

BTW - you don't have a clue what my opinion is about Senator Breslin.

So make your opinions on Senator Breslin known. The fact remains that Breslin GOT his lulu and Farley might get one. You are only concerned about the might.

Farley has been on the gravy train for 34 years.   He has wasted millions of our tax dollars and done nothing.

Time to start planning the 2012 campaign to oust Hugh Farley.

Yep - and Farley voted for tax increases over 500 times in 34 years.    He is a HUGE part of the problem
in Albany.   Therefore, it is never too early to start planning the campaign to defeat him.

The problem is not that the DEMS have imploded the City with 36 years of control of the City Council. The problem is not that the DEMS control 13 of 15 seats on the County Legislature and hold every County office except one. The problem is not that the DEMS control every town board seat in Rotterdam and Niskayuna raising taxes to new heights in both towns.

It's all Senator Farley-he's the bad guy-not the wall to wall fiscal incompetent DEMS. Run Landslide Savage again she almost won her own neighborhood-ROTFLMAO!!

You are judging.  YOu CLAIM to be a Catholic, obviously a  cafeteria Catholic because YOU are supporting his engaging in adultery.   Yes, as individuals we can give our opnion of whether we think it should be allowed or not, however, the rules of the Roman Catholic religion are there and they PROHIBIT ANYONE from receiving the Eucharist when they are in a state of mortal sin.  He has not obtained an annulment, therefore he is in the state of mortal sin.  And therefore he must NOT receive the Eucharist and this bishop should NOT be giving it to him.
