All I want for Xmas is a new set of cutlery. My forks keep disappearing. I hear this is happening all over the County especially at Cornell's, Ferrari's and Canali's.

Predictions: Mayor SOS will resign citing "family issues" and new Supervisors in both Rotterdam/Nisky. The NNTP makes a return. Ritano forms a new party.

She doesn't have to. She is already part of the liberal socialist party. Hide your wallets is you're standing next to her. She would have no problem spreading 'your' wealth around!!
She had the seniors shuttering at the rotterdam senior center.

My wish for Christmas is that the Susie/Gillen/Stratton team, and their mouthpiece DV, would begin to have a heart for the people of Schenectady.  I wish they could understand how their leadership is making things worse for city residents.  I wish they could really see how people in the city struggle, how some are losing houses because of inability to pay taxes (as opposed to the tax delinquents like Alsdorf who was rewarded with a quarter million dollars in exchange for failing to pay his taxes).  I wish they could walk around the city and see experience the sounds of gun shots, I wish they could go into the real parts of the city and talk to the parents who won't allow their children to get  fresh air because of the dangers.  I wish they could go over to the home of Steve and Regina Baker and sit with them in the evening and see what they go through with their home being pelted, I wish they could see what it's like to be in your house during the day and not be able to have the sun shining in because of what's going on.   I wish this team could talk to the many people whose homes have been broken into.  I wish they could see how the average Schenectady family sits down for a cheap dinner, trying to stretch the food dollar and hear how the average family has to constantly play with numbers and re-work their budgets in order to pay the taxes and then I'd like this team to go the homes of the downtown business people and see how lavishly they live without a care iin the world and how they don't even have to factor in tax bills into their budgets.  I wish this team could see how they have hurt the people of the city

I can only wish.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

I predict that despite any positive, good news that is announced in 2011  ----   the Nattering Nayboobs of
Negativity will still be crying, whining and complaining.

Also, I predict that positive folks like me will enjoy life during 2011 and continue to work to BUILD UP the
community in we live.

Some wishes moved from the Y thread-Replacement of the useless County Legislature with a responsive Board of Supervisors {like we had for decades}. Representation for Princetown and Duanesburg.

Elimination of the Metroplex Board-with "oversight" moved to the Board of Supervisors with a fixed end date.

Elimination of the Metrograft sales tax. We can work for positive change or cheer lead for continued failed policies that can't work and haven't worked.

I'll second all of this.  We've been talking about this for quite a while.

Could you give us your predictions for how the city will improve in 2011?

Something like how many new businesses will open downtown without Metroplex financial support?

Here's the best Christmas present-that Mayor SOS is finally resigning in disgrace. Forget about the State lob job-no one wants you! Maybe Tonko can get you a Federal "post"?-lol-

The 4 DEM stooges, Allen, King, Brucker and pathetic Della Salla are all retiring! Make early exit plans.

Twas the night before Christmas,
Da whole house was mella,
Not a creature was stirrin',
'cause I had a gun unda da pilla.
When up on da roof
I heard somethin' pound,
I sprung to da window,
To scream, "YO! Keep it down!"
When what to my
Wanderin' eyes should appear,
But da Don of all elfs,
And eight friggin' reindeer!
Wit' slicked back black hair,
And a silk red suit,
don Christopher wuz here,
And he brought da loot!
Wit' a slap to dare snouts,
And a yank on dare manes,
He cursed and he shouted,
And he called dem by name.
"Yo Tony, Yo Frankie,
Yo Vinny, Yo Vito,
Ay Joey, Ay Paulie,
Ay Pepe, Ay Guido!"

[ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/italian-christmas-lyrics-christmas-carols.html ]

As I drew out my gun
And hid by da bed,
He flew troo da winda
And slapped me 'side da head.
"What da hell you doin'
Pullin' a gun on da Don?
Now all you're gettin' is coal,
You friggin' moron!"
Den pointin' a fat finga
Right unda my nose,
He twisted his pinky ring,
And up da chimney he rose.
He sprang to his sleigh,
Obscenities screamin',
Away dey all flew,
Before he troo dem a beatin'.
Den I heard him yell out,
What I did least expect,
"Merry Friggin' Christmas to all,
And yous better show some respect!"

Wait until Boomer gets a load of this mockery of Italo-Americans!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
