Glad to see that Andrew Cuomo is planning a scaled down inauguration. I remember attending the inauguration of his dad, Mario ... and then going through the receiving line at the Executive Mansion. Mario ad Matilda have always been warm and personable public figures -- real down to earth folks.
I see that they are planning a receiving line at the Executive Mansion .. on January 1, 2011 .. I hope that Sandra Lee makes some hot chocolate and goodies for the people that attends.
BTW - As happy as I am that Andrew Cuomo was elected, I am happier that Sandra Lee may be the next First Lady of New York. |

Gee, DV, is he getting an annulment or living in mortal sin? Now, DV, how about scaling down all that uncontrolled spending in downtown Schenectady.....robbing the financially struggling homeowners to give to the rich. What is the justification for having the financially struggling homeonwers pay instead of having the rich pay? |

DV THE BIG HYPOCRITE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How about a scaled down downtown Schenectady? How about stopping the theft from the homeonwers? How about you and Susie making the rich businesses pay their own way instead of doing it all at the expense of the financially struggling homeowners???? Well??????? |

Some of the most pleasant memories of my life will be the times that I spent talking with then Governor Mario Cuomo. We had a number of conversations about theology and politics. He is truly one of the greatest men to have served as Governor of our state -- and he has a truly great mind as well.
Former Governor Cuomo and the late Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan would be 2 of my top picks -- if I could have dinner with any 10 people in history. |

Great Choice DVoR,
Weather you agree with their politics or not, both were very interesting men. After Mario was out of office, he would appear on a weekly radio show... since he no longer held any political office, he was much more free with his opinions and ideas. Any politician could have learned a lot about politics by listening to this show. |

I remember the radio show well. I had the good fortune of seeing Mario Cuomo again - about 4 years ago - at an event for Congressman McNulty. BTW - I would add Mike McNulty and Jack McNulty to that list. I had many long conversations with both of those great men. Our families have a connection a few generations back. Mike McNulty is a great person to have a conversation about a wide variety of public issues. Jack McNulty was a great one to have conversations about local political history -- and his ability to analyze political situations was extraordinary. I sure do miss Jack. |

I am hoping that Sandra Lee makes several hundred dozen of her gingerbread cookies .. for those of us who will be waiting in line to shake hands with Governor Cuomo on January 1. |

I thought you would appreciate the brilliant comparison to our Senior Senator. As usual wasted on the witless. |

I fail to see the brilliance in your post. |

Just under 5 days -- and then Andrew Cuomo becomes Governor and, more importantly, Sandra Lee becomes First Lady of New York. |

I like her too, but she won't be considered by First Lady of New York according to proper rules of etiquette. She needs to be married to the Governor in order to have that title. She and Andy need to tie the knot. Bloomy's girlfriend is not first lady of NYC either. She'll just be first girlfriend of NY! |

Wish the new Governor every success as he has inherited a record $10 BILLION deficit. Sandra Lee has no intention of either moving to Albany or marrying Andrew. She is a semi-homemade millionaire and does not want to be involved in the morass of NYS politics. Who could blame her? This is all whistling Dixie. Andrew is facing some real problems that cannot be kicked down the road any longer. |
