The majority of all groups surveyed want to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell (58%-27%),
except for three groups:
Republicans,
Conservatives
and White Evangelicals.

There is one group missing in the survey.  THE MILITARY GENERALS THAT FIGHT THE WARS!!!

This survey is meaningless except to liberals who use it to bash White Christians(which they so looooove to do)

Where is the survey sample on Black Baptist, or how about Hispanic Catholics?  Interesting how they made sure to exclude hispanics from the black and white sample.

The survey is garbage Box.

(The Pew Research Center data in my original post is a reliable polling outlet with no ties to either Left or Right.)

The Pentagon study on DADT should be released today.
Officials familiar with the 10-month study's results have said a clear majority of respondents don't care if gays serve openly, with 70 percent predicting that lifting the ban would have positive, mixed or no results.

November 17, 2008 - Retired Admiral Charles Larson, former Superintendent of
the U.S. Naval Academy, tops a list of 104 retired Generals and Admirals calling for an end to the
military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy governing gay troops.

You may have a point about repealing the don't as don't tell policy. They should be allowed to be in anyone's FOX HOLE!!

I'm not disputing the date or the reliability of it, I'm questioning the sample groups surveyed.  Why were hispanics left out of the survey? How about Mormons, or Asians?  Actually, there were MANY sub-groups left out of the survey.  Reading the results of the survey, it gives a 58%-27% favor/oppose TOTAL.  That may mislead a reader to believe that represents ALL Americans feelings on the issue, when actually it's all Americans PEW choose to survey.

Garbage survey

I didn't know that was a demographic.  Pew would probably survey left handed plumbers about don't ask don't tell before hispanics.

Cicero,

Hispanics were NOT excluded from  the survey, they just weren't identified as a separate group in the survey... just like Left handed plumbers.

Why didn't Pew separate out hispanics?  After all it's not a small demographic - unlike left handed plumbers.  Maybe they didn't like the results.  Who knows.  The point is, the way the survey is presented is meant to skew public opinion, by excluding information.

They didn't "separate out Hispanics",  they are included along with Asians,  Libertarians, Tea Party members, Atheists, gays, vegetarians, union members, school teachers, etc etc etc.

There are a thousand other categories, but all are INCLUDED in the survey, just not singled out by a separate group.

Hispanics are among the total in the survey, but not singled out from the total.

As you can see box, the exclusion of certain information allows morons like you to make the claim that the ONLY Republicans Conservatives, and Evangelicals oppose repealing don't ask don't tell.  Very convienient, huh Box.

Garbage survey!  Classic manipulation of statistics to reach the desired results.

Again you are right!  The survey Excludes the opinion of Left Handed Plumbers, so it is obviously invalid!

Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal: Navy Lt. Gary Ross, Partner Dan Swezy Wed As Military's Gay Ban Formally EndsWILSON RING   09/20/11 05:46 AM ET

DUXBURY, Vt. — Just as the formal repeal of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy took effect, Navy Lt. Gary Ross and his partner were married before a small group of family and friends.

The two men, who'd been together 11 years, decided to marry in Vermont in part because the state is in the Eastern time zone.

That way, they were able to recite their vows at the stroke of midnight – at the first possible moment after the ban ended.

"I think it was a beautiful ceremony. The emotions really hit me...but it's finally official," Ross said early Tuesday.

Hours before the change, the American military was also making final preparations for the historic policy shift. The Pentagon announced that it was already accepting applications from openly gay candidates, although officials said they would wait a day before reviewing them.

Ross, 33, and Dan Swezy, a 49-year-old civilian, traveled from their home in Tucson, Ariz., so they could get married in Vermont, the first state to allow gays to enter into civil unions and one of six that have legalized same-sex marriage.

Ross wore his dress uniform for the double-ring ceremony that began at 11:45 p.m. Monday at Duxbury's Moose Meadow Lodge, a log cabin bed-and-breakfast perched on a hillside about 15 miles northwest of Montpelier. The lodge says it hosted the state's first gay wedding in 2009.

Justice of the Peace Greg Trulson proclaimed the marriage at exactly midnight.........................>>>>......................>>>>....................http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/09/20/dont-ask-dont-tell-repeal-wedding_n_971128.html
