Gazette combo subscription prices to increase SCHENECTADY — The Gazette combo subscription prices will increase effective Dec. 12. The seven-day home delivery of the print edition of the Gazette will cost $4 per week, up 1 cent, and the combo subscription, which includes a 24/7 online edition, will move to $4.25 weekly. The combination 3-day print and 24/7 electronic edition will increase to $2 weekly, with the print-only priced at $1.75. Single copy prices will not increase. Increased operating expenses and an industry-imposed minimum pricing level for electronic editions necessitate the price increase, according to Dan Beck, general manager of the Gazette. “Even with the increase, the Gazette remains one of the lowest priced home-delivered newspapers in the Capital Region. Having our electronic edition included makes it a great value to our subscribers and advertisers,” Beck said. .................>>>>.....................>>>>..........................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r00602&AppName=1

Hey....I don't begrudge them their increase, people just wish they would print something worth reading WITHOUT the bias spin! It's just so damn obvious. |

Media Bias is often in the eye of the beholder. If your view of the world matches the ONE VIEW Fox News, then every news outfit, except those to the Far Right would seem biased. If your view of the world matches the ONE VIEW MSNBC, then every news outfit, except those to the Far Left would seem biased.
When you're viewing the world from the fringes, everything but your view appears extreme. |

Some "great value"? They have lost over 40% of their readership and keep circling the drain. Editorial bored refuses to demand a resignation for Mayor SOS. Get your online news for free at the Times Union. They regularly scoop the Gazetto even on City/County scandals. |

The Times Union also offers their complete archives, dating back some 30 years for free, not $2 per story, only to find it wasn't the information you were looking for. |
