ALBANY -- It's official -- New York State legislators are among the highest paid in the land.

A report out of Illinois says they are the third highest paid in the country.

New York is a big state, but Texas is bigger and pays its lawmakers absolutely nothing.

New York lawmakers, as you know, are part time -- the session lasts six months and work weeks vary from two to four days.

And of course -- you pay their salaries.
