John Mertz for new REP Chairman! If nothing else Boomer will know who is running things.

One thing about Mertz you know when he is in a room. He's not one to tippy toe about. If the DEMS all hate him so much he must be on the right path.

John Mertz is exactly what the Doctor ordered. The fact that every DEM here hates him proves he is supremely qualified for new REP Chair. By his detractors you can see he is on the right path.

Thanks for your little speech their but you are a joke mertz,I hope you learned your lesson because the people will never respect you again for being such a sellout. Who the hell starts a new party because they didn't get the nod from the republicans?? I will tell you who SORE LOSERS!! Instead of supporting who they actually endorsed you went against them because you and littlefield are big babbies. You have no class along with littlefield and people think your a loser, so have fun trying to fool people but they will see right through you

People need to move in a forward direction not a backward one. I agree with marina...just because you don't get your "way" with whatever party you feel
connects most with your belief, you should never go against it the way the NNT party did. Hopefully, these "conservative" people have re-evaluated
their actions and perhaps changed their strategies for the future. If they are sincere with their "conservative" values they will join forces with another conservative minded party who are for less government intervention and lower taxes....the republican party. No one agrees on "incidentals" ALL of the time.

excuse me Mr. Benny..... Mertz does tippy toe but he certainly knows how to destroy his own cause. There are many times in ones life when we might have
political fallings out with people of like minds (NOT EXACT MINDS-LIKE MINDS) This does not mean we destroy everyone in the process. The Dems have been laughing all the way to the bank

First ms donovan I believe your comments are misguiding the readers here. Perhaps you could tell us if 'any' nntp conservative minded candidates approached any party for an endorsement and if so, which ones and why? Perhaps you could tell us if any of the nntp conservative minded candidates had to primary for any party line, and if so which ones and why?

Second ms donovan, the rep party then and now is split into 2 factions. It will be years before the schenectady county rep party can gain any respect.

So I would strongly suggest that if there is anyone crazy enough to jump into schenectady county's political cesspool, who is conservative in their ideology........run on an independent line.  Call it anything you want...but I would stay clear of schenectady county's dem, rep and con parties!!

THEY ARE THE PROBLEM!!!

By whom and by what faction of the rep party?

You boast like the schenectady county rep party has some credibility. What rock have you been living under?

Also ms donovan, was the nntp line created BEFORE or AFTER a denied endorsement?

Do you know anything about the election process in a democracy?

The schenectady county rep party will not become viable until there are new faces.
New faces that are unifiers and not dividers.
Unfortunately it is the dividers that are in charge!
Like said earlier.....it will be years before the schenectady county reps gain any credibility!!
Continue on this path, and it never will! IMHO

I like that Ms. Donovan is coming on here and speaking out as a party chairperson, I actually expected some thoughtful insight from her, but we get the same old Parisi mentality.  Ms. Donovan do you honestly believe you speak for the Repbulicans in Rotterdam?  I think you need a little reality check.  Also, your first public statements as a chairperson are spent bashing an old washed up former board member?  I think the last time a chairperson went after Mr. Mertz, he (according to you) ruined the entire party.  As for your argument about not going against the party, that makes you a hypocrite because YOU supported Parisi going after Amedore.  By your comments you obviously think the chairperson is all mighty, do you think YOU have the power to drop ANY candidate from a ticket?  Go public with YOUR decision?  Actually, sounds like you just did, interesting to know that Mr. Mertz is not welcome in your party, that's laughable.

Parisi has been the problem all along, that's obvious.  Your tenure as his puppet will be short lived and I will cast my vote for ANY candidate as long as they DON'T have your endorsement.  I know what Mr. Parisi and the rest were like and you sound just like him.  Shame on you.

Way to turn the page and move on. Where were all of yous when John Mertz volunteered to go on a suicide mission against Assemblyman Paul Tonko? Hiding in the tall grasses.

Mertz is not perfect but stop pulling a Savage and blaming him for your problems. The door is open for a big victory next year. Stop burning bridges, rehashing old vendettas and start rebuilding. Some of yous don't know what side your bread is buttered on.
