Yes, and with the meeting that was held at SSFD last night, I am leaning more in that direction now.  I am no longer a firm no.  I am now undecided, leaning towards yes.

Well, there were a few things that did, but I'm not fully sure right now.  The fact that they used to be part of the fire departments is one.  That we pay taxes to the fire departments for the same thing that they are requesting it for, the equipment.  I do still hold a bit of reservation as far as the fact that they do get paid by insurance when the others don't.  Also, the facts of how they have turned the business around, now operating in the black.  The fuel bill that they had with the town is fully paid off. The lean that the IRS has will be paid off by 2012, I believe they said.

Besides that, I also looked at the amount that it would actually cost me as a property owner.  They did show comparisons as far as the costs of this compared to other things throughout town, i.e. fire departments, etc.  There was other, I just don't remember or have the time for at the moment.

How much is that because of the ALS money?  Ask them to see their books MINUS the ALS money.  Would they still be operating in the black???  We pay $400K for our paramedics AND REMS collect the money for their services in the tune of $150K.  That's a $550K benefit for the REMS.  Yeah, there in the black alright.

DR Me what's the difference Bumble/John.  You were a sad sack then and you are worse now.  Your/Mary's  scheme blew up because you shortchanged seniors so you could rip off the town by getting a schlock attorney.  I went on to become the County Chair of the Long-term Care Advisory and have quite a great job that let me  be part of a a ground-breaking program for NYS.  You sir-lost your seat on the TC and your respect through your actions.  Only thing you have been left with is your pompous, know-it-all attitude.  In the end I should thank you but I won't because you deceived residents and sold the seniors down the river with the help of ST.

I spoke to him after the meeting at SSFD, when he did confirm that he is for the taxing district.

To accurately portray his full position though, it must be pointed out that he is a/the attorney that REMS has working for them, and that he was sitting at the table with REMS at the meeting last night.

Let it all out honey!!! Don't hold back!! This should be very therapeutic and cathartic for you!! Breath in.....Breath out..........! After all of these years of penned up anger........I'm sure you feel better now!

Thank God you are a catholic that has taught you forgiveness and compassion and praying for your enemies and turning the other cheek. Mertz must feel grateful that he has a transformed enemy as forgiving and spiritual and mentally healed as yourself!!
