If I WERE mertzie, I guess I would give you a different answer.

But since I am just a schenectady county taxpayer and registered blank........I will again repeat....that the reps are solely responsible for the situation they are in today. Pass the blame all you want....but your assumptions are DEAD WRONG!!!

Littlefield, mcgarry and oconner should have been endorsed by the rep party. The reps would have had a much better chance of a win!! Instead they put up the retreads, and had them campaign on the support of a rems taxing district!!!

As far as mertzie.....he too is a retread! He had his day in the sun just like tomassone, signore, suhrada and parisi. It's time for new blood!

NOPE.....the reps carry ALL of the responsibility for their demise!! IMHO

Who the hell starts a new party because they didn't get the nod from the republicans??

That's a real democratic statement.   The guy was a sitting ELECTED official and was un-endorsed for personal problems in the party.  Are you saying that a political party committee decision trumps democracy?

That's why there's a Tea Party movement.  People are beginning to understand that even the best intentioned and reputable candidates running as either a rep or dem, are ultimately controlled by the corrupt party bosses.  That's why when people say "vote the candidate not the party" I laugh, because the candidates decisions are dictated by the party bosses.  As we seen with the Mertz incident, if you don't go along to get along, you're OUT.  And that is why people are hesitant to join the Rotterdam Republican Party.

Your wrong, people don't want to join the republican party because people within the party itself are backstabbers like MERTZ, hurt your fellow man rather than support him because he wasn't endorsed, thats a SORE LOSER.

Based on the treatment of Mertz and now Amedore, it's obvious the Rotterdam Republican Party is a - Party first - principles second, Party.  Mertz has been gone for a while, and the Rotterdam Reps are still eating their own.

Man, you just don't get it.

Wow cissy now you are the champion for democracy...Where were you championing democracy when George tried to sue to have Santabarbara's petitions thrown out? You champion "democracy" when it suits your candidate and you take a sh!t on it when it doesn't suit the king...You are beyond hypocritical!!!

Ohhh. Rotterdam Republicans met their quota on backstabbers.  Is that why they didn't endorse him?

Now I get it.

When are you guys folding up shop and jumping ship after destroying the local Republican Party?

I would contest petitions collected by a guy who switched parties in the middle of his term, and then secretly taped a private conversation with the person he planned on running against, just to use as political fodder.

Did the AG get that taped conversation yet?
