Obama declared war again on Fox News and calls them destructive to America and I believe it's because they shed light on his radical progressive agenda.    http://politicalticker.blogs.c.....nbsp;  By:
CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

(CNN) - President Obama is pulling no punches when it comes to Fox News, declaring the cable news outlet to be "destructive to [America's] long-term growth."

In a more than 8,000-word interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Obama compared the cable news channel to papers owned by William Randolph Hearst at the turn of the 20th century that unabashedly pushed the media titan's own political views.

"You had folks like Hearst who used their newspapers very intentionally to promote their viewpoints. I think Fox is part of that tradition – it is part of the tradition that has a very clear, undeniable point of view," Obama told the magazine.

Officials in the Obama White House have long made Fox News a punching bag, launching a full blown offensive last year when aides declared the network to be "opinion journalism masquerading as news." Then-White House Communications Director Anita Dunn said the cable outlet "operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party," and top aide Valerie Jarret called Fox "clearly biased."

But the new comments from Obama constitute the president's most direct attack yet on the network owned by business mogul Rupert Murdoch.

Fox News pushes "a point of view that I disagree with. It's a point of view that I think is ultimately destructive for the long-term growth of a country that has a vibrant middle class and is competitive in the world," Obama said.

"But as an economic enterprise, it's been wildly successful. And I suspect that if you ask Mr. Murdoch what his number one concern is, it's that Fox is very successful."

Obama is in full panic mode...
The only thing fox news is destructive to is his "spend like a drunken sailor" approach to gub'met spending.

Obama's a narcissist, he is unable to except any responsibility.

It is ONE evil cable news network that is destroying the nation.  Why aren’t the THREE (cbs-nbc-abc) broadcast and TWO(msnbc – cnn) cable networks, and the countless liberal rags responsible?  Obama is sounding more and more like the irrational nut that he really is.  This is truly Jimmy Carters 2nd term.

To get wealthy, Fox News Owner Rupert Murdoch, can't look like the rest of the Broadcast News Teams.  Other networks, cover stories, do the research, then report the NEWS.

If Murdoch & Fox follow that format, their network would be in last place.  Murdoch's profitable News Network works News Broadcasting in reverse.

Fox finds out what the potential viewers want to see... then give it to them.  There is a whole swamp of Conservatives clamoring for pro Conservative news... it doesn't have to be factual, or particularly interesting, it just has to be what their kind of viewer (old, white & biased) wants to see.

It's the "top 40 request hour" for News.

Box,

Must I remind you again?  Bush National Guard Story - Dan Rather?

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/01/10/national/main665727.shtml

Without Fox News, that story would have been broadcast without dispute.  There are 4 other networks that can call foul of Fox if they inaccurately report news.  Even the satirist at Comedy Central takes a crack at debunking Fox.  So there is plenty of checks and balances to keep Fox honest.  What Obama doesn't like, is there is no more monopoly on information, and Fox is willing to speak truth to power and not let the DNC operatives like Dan Rather make up stories to sway public opinion a month before a presidential election.

Fox is ONE network, and it is a cable news network at that.  They don't even broadcast news on their broadcast channel.  Obama's drowning in his own policies.  Fox is not the problem, he is.

Public Evaluations of the News Media: 1985-2009

Box,

The Pew Research Center has a more unbias opinion of Press Accuracy.  Facts seem to differ from yours and Mr. Obama's assessment of the media.

W.H. scorecard: MSNBC up, bloggers down
By: Keach Hagey
September 29, 2010 04:30 AM EDT

The vice president told Democrats to “stop whining,” the president told them to “buck up,” and if there was any remaining doubt that press secretary Robert Gibbs’s exasperation over the summer with the “professional left” was the official view of the White House, they dispelled it this week.

But who, exactly, makes up this “professional left” that is so bothering President Barack Obama and his advisers? On Tuesday, Gibbs’ deputy, Bill Burton, made it clear that the occasionally critical cable personalities originally associated with this comment have the administration’s blessing.

"If you're on the left, if you're somebody like Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow or one of the folks who helps to keep our government honest and pushes and prods to make sure that folks are true to progressive values, then [the president] thinks that those folks provide an invaluable service.” Burton told reporters.

Noticeably absent from Burton’s embrace was anyone from the blogosphere once courted so avidly by the White House. Peter Daou thinks he knows why:

“With each passing day, I’m beginning to realize that the crux of the problem for Obama is a handful of prominent progressive bloggers, among them Glenn Greenwald, John Aravosis, Digby, Marcy Wheeler and Jane Hamsher.”

Daou, a progressive strategist and blogger himself, offered the explanation in a post provocatively titled, “How a handful of liberal bloggers are bringing down the Obama presidency,” that put a face on Obama’s critics and suggested why their criticism might be so irritating.

The complaints these bloggers have launched against the Obama administration are, Daou notes, “exactly the same complaints they lodged against the Bush administration."..................>>>>......................>>>>................http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0910/42864.html

Sharpton Wants FCC to Ban Limbaugh
Wednesday, November 24, 2010 02:24 PM

Liberal firebrand Rev. Al Sharpton is telling audiences that the Federal Communications Commission should take Rush Limbaugh off the airwaves because of perceived offenses toward racial minorities and other groups.

The attack was only the latest in a series of attacks by Democrats, including President Obama, who suggest that America's political discourse is being crippled by talk radio and cable news shows.

Specifically, Sharpton suggested that the FCC should establish "guidelines" or "standards" to regulate speech.

"You've got to remember that those stations that Rush Limbaugh is on and others are regulated by FCC, granted by FCC; they go back to them to get waivers," Sharpton said on his own radio show on Nov. 19th

"They go back to them to get consolidation," Sharpton continued. "They have the right to set standards. That does not impair your right to speak what you believe, but it does say that you are not going to do that to offend groups of Americans based on their race, their gender, their sexual status - none of that."................>>>>.................>>>>...............http://www.newsmax.com/InsideC.....mp;promo_code=B2FD-1

Sorry Al - remember that pesky thing called "Freedom of Speech"?  Stop trying to stifle it.

If your brand of ilk had any appeal to consumers, maybe your own media company would do well ... but alas, it doesn't.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
