This is the same poll that was wrong about the Palladino-Lazio primary contest.

The voters will come around and vote for REAL CHANGE in Albany .. and vote out Hugh "double-dipper,
do-nothing, got my son 2 patronage jobs, spent $3.6 million taxpayer dollars on personal services" Farley

44TH SENATE DISTRICT
Poll gives Farley signifi cant lead over Savage for Senate
BY MICHAEL LAMENDOLA Gazette Reporter
Reach Gazette reporter Michael Lamendola at 395-3114 or lamend@dailygazette.com.

Halfway through the campaign, a new poll gives Republican state Sen. Hugh Farley an 18-point lead over Susan Savage, his Democratic challenger in the 44th Senate District race.
The Siena Research Institute poll, released Tuesday, shows Farley, a 34-year incumbent, with a 55 percent to 37 percent lead over Savage, chairwoman of the Schenectady County Legislature. Savage was elected to the Legislature in 1999, becoming its chairwoman in 2004 when Democrats became the majority party there.
The poll sampled 400 voters. It is has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percent.
“She is in a tough position. Farley is very strong five weeks out,” said institute spokesman Steven Greenberg. “The senator is very popular. He has a 59 percent favorability rating throughout the district. Savage has a 37 percent favorability rating,” he said.
Travis Proulx, campaign manager for Savage, said, “We expected these results, based on our own polling and on what we are hearing. Farley has enormous name recognition and an enormous war chest.”
Farley has approximately $381,000 in his campaign account while Savage has about $75,000.
Proulx said the Savage campaign looks at the poll as a way to fi netune strategy and tactics going into the last five weeks of the campaign. “The task for us is to increase Susan’s name recognition and help people understand her record,” he said.
Kim Cummings, spokeswoman for Farley, called the poll good news. “It is what we expected. We are confident that the numbers are strong and [Farley] hopes he will increase his lead,” she said......................>>>>....................>>>>.................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01001&AppName=1

Poll: Savage trailing Farley
By Lauren Stanforth Staff Writer
Published: 09:41 a.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2010

COLONIE -- State Senate Democratic challenger Susan Savage appears to have an uphill battle in wrestling the 44th District seat from 34-year incumbent Republican Hugh Farley, according to a Siena poll of likely voters released Tuesday.

Not only is the Schenectady County Legislature chairwoman trailing by 18 points, but she's losing among women voters and those from her home county, where both candidates live.

The poll done among 400 voters in the district that comprises Fulton, Montgomery and Schenectady counties and part of Saratoga found that respondents picked Farley over Savage 55 to 37 percent, in what was expected to be the Capital Region's most competitive race this year for state office.

While poll respondents in Fulton, Montgomery and Saratoga counties picked Farley 59 to 33 percent, Farley pulled 50 percent to 42 percent of voters in Schenectady County. Also, Farley won overall among women responding to the poll 54 to 37 percent.

Members of Savage's camp say they aren't surprised by the numbers, considering Farley's long tenure. They said they'll be ramping up phone calls, television advertisements and mailings. Meanwhile, they said Savage, 49, will stick to her message that the economic development she helped bring to Schenectady will be translated statewide if she's elected.

"When you're dealing with an incumbent who has been in office that long there's a huge distance in name recognition," said Savage spokesman Travis Proulx. "What the poll shows us is the issues that are driving voters in this election are the issues Susan has been working on."

Poll respondents in the 44th district named job creation and fixing the state budget as their top issues.

Farley, 78, contacted at home Tuesday evening, said he is pleased with the poll's results, but will continue to campaign with the view that the contest remains close. Both he and Savage reside in Niskayuna....................>>>>..................>>>>.....................http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Poll-Savage-trailing-Farley-677604.php

Savage can't even dupe women and County workers to vote for her. She has no support in this County. This race is over. Farley in a record landslide against a phony miracle worker. Unemployment is up 60% under her horrible "leadership". The best part begins after she gets stomped. Pass the popcorn..

Angelo made a serious miscalculation when he switched parties and hooked his wagon to Savage.  His betrayal of conservatives who supported
him and his association with Savage will lead to his certain defeat.  IMHO

Angelo pulled a reverse John Connelly. He is too stunad to realize he is being used by SS Savage. It didn't help her as she is about to be crushed in a record landslide. After the results roll in is when the real fun will start.

Santabarbara listened to GP instead of looking back a few years to see what happened to Kosiur!! The only difference this time is that Susan Savage will be running with her tail between her legs too! Perhaps they will both get tax paid created patronage jobs like Kosiur did!

And, they'll still claim victory that she did "so well" against an incumbent. Can't you just hear it now.

....yeah, she will know how bad she got beat, and politics is her life.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
