So will Savage again be appointed to a patronage job with NYS? I believe that she resigned from her last position as Director for Intergovernmental Relations at the ORPS when she decided to run for the State Senate. How long will Governor Cuomo be in office before she scores a six figure job with NYS government?
Huh? She was one "Special Assistant", you know, one of those PHONY jobs that is NOT civil service, a title for which there are no qualifications, other than kissing a** of the party and making poor people pay the property taxes of the wealthy. In 2009 she was paid over $105,000. How long til she get's a new six-figure job? Let's see, I might bet 30 days. The state will have the money to pay her, but not to pay the struggling lowly employees that are going to be laid off. Wonder if other people might get a job with a fat salary too, so they can become real adults in the real world and be independent |
| Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies. |

Mr. Santabarbara came very close to unseating Mr. Amedore ---
First time I've heard 6,000 votes being considered "very close"... |

Not only did GA win a tremendous victory but he knows the best pizzeria! This was never close. Instead of spinning pick up ANG's ugly signs that are still on public property. |

The FACT is that Angelo Santabarbara came closer than ANY OTHER challenger to the incumbent -- for that seat -- in 28 years.
That means that the next time, the incumbent will be defeated. |

...yeah, like when you predicted Savage would win. |

well -- I was over 80% correct in my projections of who would win on Election Day -- I am quite content with that |

Does that count the ones running unopposed? |

Ya mean ANG did better than Lumpy Kosiur? Great accomplishment. Keep nominating rubber stamp DEM Schenectady County Legislators and you may win the seat back in 30 years. Not a lot of happy faces at the SS Savage/ANG party. Different story over at Farley's-where the Sam Adams flowed and folks were dancing in the streets. |

I predict the incumbent will have retired and the Dem will beat the new Rep because Schdy County Chair Buchanan can't field a decent candidate. |

I predict there are quite a few town and city Dems who are so fed up with the County Dems that they are considering switching to the GOP with the help of Peter G and George A. High level Dems that are tired of waiting in line while turncoat GOPers get the royal treatment, namely Co. Leg office holders. The Party Dems are sick and tired of the use and abuse sentiments exhibited by the County Dems toward Rotterdam. High rankers are fuming!!!!!!!!! > > > > |

Wait a minute!! Isn't party affiliation based on beliefs not because you aren't treated nicely?? When Mertz et al created the NNTP, it was still based on beliefs of being conservative. That is in sync with the Republican and Conservative party. How can a Dem switch without a change in philosophy? It isn't just about being endorsed, it's also about belief in the party and it's principles. What did I miss here?
Another example is Holly V. from Republican to Conservative. Again, it's about beliefs and principles. That's why you affiliate with a political party in the first place.

HV is a chamelon. When she's not with the one she loves, she loves the party she's with. She's a Dem now. I believe the Dems will be in for awhile. Peeps--why so harsh? |

Huh? Margins that Tonko won that district by? Are you talking about a decade or two ago when he ran against some terrible competition because Tonko's election this year was 57%-43% (in Montgomery & Schenectady County's) and Amedore's victory was 58.5%-41.5%... Amedore won by a larger percentage. Tonko won Montgomery County by only 400 votes! |
