People are beginning to see through the charade being perpetuated by the county legislature on the taxpaying residents. The assertions by candidates (Savage and Santabarbara) about the thousands of jobs that they created and the failures of Metroplex are being exposed, first it was by the audit performed by the NYS Comptroller's Office and now by responsible citizens who are researching the causes of their skyrocketing property taxes.
Government does not produce products or generate wealth. The private sector does. The only jobs created by government are public sector jobs that are funded with tax revenues. So, unless, Savage expanded the size of the Schenectady County government by 5,000 jobs, she is being disingenuous when she assumes credit for the work that was done by entrepreneurs.

Look the truth is Savage could not stand up to Farley. On the other hand, I cannot begin to tell you how many people (Reps) said they voted for him because he is a Rep only. They also felt it was time for him to go but would not vote for Susan. Fair enough. I voted straight Democratic.
But the Reps are impotent when it comes to fielding a new candidate. Is Buchanan still the head of the party?

I substituted bowling last night, otherwise I would have been one here. One of the people's kids go to Schenectay H.S. Savage's people were practically blocking the entrance to the school when students were coming in.
First, the election people had to tell Savages people they could not campaign within some area from the polling place and Schdy high school is a polling place.
Then the principal of the school had to go and tell them to leave school property.
Guess they were obviously very desparate if they have to practically stand in the way of students entering the school, and were talking students who are not even eligible to vote. They obviously need to learn the school property is not a place to disrupt and campaign during the school day nor to that campaigning on the premises of place where elections are being held
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

This just in.........it looks like Senator Hugh Farley who humiliated SS Savage in the biggest landslide in recent history will be second in line for Majority Leader. There is still 3 races to be decided but it looks like the REPS will have at least a 32-30 majority.
Early reports about the DEMS retaking the State Senate are false. This is great news for our District. SS Savage should have hired more dupes to hold her signs at schools and churches.

You say that BUT --- 15 of the 22 or 68.2% of the candidates endorsed and supported by the Schenectady County Democrats won their races ---- not one Republican was elected to a county-wide office. Obviously the people of Schenectady County overwhelming prefer the candidates that are endorsed by the Democratic Party over the candidates produced by the Republican Party.
