A 3-way race for Governor -- leads to some questions --
How much money will Mr Paladino spend on this contest?
Will Lazio on the Conservative line lead to that party's demise?
Will Sarah Palin  campaign in NY for Mr. Paladino?
How will Attorney-General Andrew Cuomo avoid the "insider" tag against Mr. Paladino and the
"anti-insider/anti-insider  wave" sweeping New York state?

If Lazio decides to stay in the race, I guarantee you that we will be looking at Governor-Elect Cuomo come November 3rd.

If Lazio drops out -- since he is THE Conservative Party candidate . it would mean the end of the
Conservative Party if its Gubernatorial candidate gets less than 50,000 votes on Election Day.

Sounds good to me, the Conservative party uses the capital C due to the fact that they don't know what the word with the lower case c actually means.

Well, I know that in Rotterdam there are a number of "non conservatives" in the Conservative Party .. Dems
and Reps for various reasons ... and of course .. the word conservative used to mean something noble --
not what you hear on "talk radio"
Barry Goldwater's  "Conscience of a Conservative" should be read by all voters.

I think this could be an interesting Gubernatorial Race.  I never believed that it would
be (or should be) a "cake walk" for Attorney-General Cuomo.    Mr. Paladino will pump
a lot of his own money into the campaign and will attract a lot of money from across the
country into this race.

As I speculated on my original questions -
I am going to predict that Mr. Lazio and the Conservative Party will get less than 50,000
votes on lection day ... which means that this ballot line will go away.

I am going to predict that national "tea party" celebrities will parachute into New York
to take on the liberal establishment -- expect to see Gingrinch and Palin and, who knows,
maybe Glenn Beck will  host a rally in Albany.

I am going to predict that the 2010 Gubernatorial Race will be the most exciting
Gubernatorial contest in at least 16 years -- for our state.

Reminiscent of Lehrman v Cuomo.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Paladino is exactly what New York State needs. He will win, he has Obama like momentum and will make this a real race!

a fake conservative spending someone else's dime to get elected

While I agree with your remarks that Paladino is what New York State needs, I don't believe he'll win if Rick Lazio does what he says he's going to do and continues to run on the Conservative line.  In fact, the very thing that he states he's running against, "Status Cuomo," is exactly what we will get.  When you have a 3 person race, the one that has the most diverse opinion from the other 2 will win, see the 1992 Presidential election.  If Ross Perot wasn't in that race, you couldn't tell me by any means that his votes would have gone to William Jefferson Blythe Clinton, hence handing the race to Daddy Bush.  Also see the Rotterdam Town Board election of 2009, and our current status.  Only one person on the board that got in with a majority of the vote, Nikki DiLeva.

If Lazio couldn't keep the GOP line for himself as the endorsed GOP candidate -
I find it hard to believe that he will do well on the Conservative line -- given that
Lazio is "conservative-lite" and was up to his eyeballs in the  housing mess and made
millions riding the gravy train which led to the US financial/economic  collapse.

I predict Lazio and establishment Republicans will play the role of 3rd candidate spoiler to further anger the Tea Party crowd motivating them to show up to the polls on election day. Then at the last minute, Lazio withdraws from the race, turning his supporters to Paladino.  I think the Republicans are beginning to understand how to fuel the movement for their gain.  The more "establishment" republicans push back against the Tea Party, the more strength and momentum the Tea Party gains.

Paladino has a shot if this is played right.

Kevin- I have a question on your fuzzy Bush majority math.  Are you saying that only a majority of voters voted for ND?  Spell it out for me.....I'm lost on that one.  Thanks

Yes, Ms. DiLeva is the only of the 4 town board members that were voted into office in November that actually received a majority of the vote (> 50%).

Even though she was third in the voting, finished second on the conservative line behind Martin, could only vote for one, you somehow try to turn this into some kind of DiLeva majority mandate.  HUH????  Fuzzy Bush Math Kevin.....

I might add a majority of her votes came on the Dem line smarty pants.  Explain that one.
