Casualties/ The War On Terror.

The total casualties from the Sept11th attacks on the WTC, the Iraq war & The war in Afghanistan.

Who dies? Sometimes a graphic helps put the raw numbers in perspective.

Remember, when GWB said, "We are not at war with the Iraqi people?
If you are mad because of the WTC attacks, just imagine how the Iraqi people feel.
Iraq was not involved in the WTC attacks or AlQaeda.
How would you feel if you were an Iraqi Civilian?

I'm sure you have trouble sleeping at night because of it.

Remember, Obama has been President going on 2 years.  Gitmo still open and still fighting 2 wars

Phoney outrage.

Obama Promised to end George Bush's Oil War in Iraq.
Combat troops are out of Iraq on schedule as promised...
and
Next year the rest are scheduled to leave.

Besides restoring the economy from the George Worst Bush's Economic Meltdown, Obama has to clean up George Worst Bush's two wars.

"George Worst Bush"...Never has a US President started with so much and done so little good, while causing so much damage to the entire world, as George Worst Bush.

Most Americans would be happy if Obama could just get the country back to where it was before GWB took office.  Undoing the Bush Presidency would be a major accomplishment for any President.

Your Thread HiJack failed to address the subject of the post...

The rage Americans have about the Sept 11 WTC attacks...
while blind to the rage caused by the GWB attacks in Iraq.

The deaths of innocent  American civilians on Sept 11 is a major US Event...
While the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians is hardly worth commenting on.

Americans HATE the WTC Terrorists...
But
Never recognize themselves as being the Terrorists in Iraq.

Box,

I live in America.  I am an American...NOT an Iraqi.  Yes, I unapologetically mourn for those innocent AMERICANS that died at the hands of Muslim terrorist.  I do not put on the phony act as if I am upset about the "slaughter" as you put it, of Iraqi's, like you do.  There are thousands of innocent Afghans that have been slaughtered in the fighting since January 2009, when your savior was inaugurated.  Do you believe the U.S. is acting as terrorists in Afghanistan?  Is the slaughter of innocent Afghani's more acceptable to you because your savior supports it?

Phony outrage.

Cicero...
You have to stop reading your opinions into my posts.
No where do I absolve Obama for the situations in Iraq or in Afghanistan.... those ideas happen in your head, not mine.

I gave Obama till this August to keep his promise in Iraq... He did.  I expect him to follow his plan in a year to pull out almost all US troops from Iraq.

Afghanistan is NOW OBAMA'S war.
Like the Bush Economy,  Obama inherited this disaster from his predecessor George Worst Bush... But Afghanistan, not a war of his choosing, is now Obama's war.
I laugh at Conservatives who patiently sat by and watched GWorstB pull troops out of Afghanistan to chase Iraqi oil... now those same Conservatives expect immediate results from Obama cleaning up Bush's dirty diapers in Afghanistan.

Iraq, disaster that it was, defined the Bush/Cheney presidency.
Obama may well be defined by his actions in Afghanistan.

When discussing either president in these wars... The ultimate blame for civilian casualties in both wars, lays at the feet of the American people.
America continues to 'tolerate' killing of civilians in both wars, with little protest.

If you feel RAGE at the WTC attacks... Consider the RAGE of those in Iraq or Afghanistan who see similar attacks on a daily basis.

Our troops are not the terrorists in Iraq or anywhere else. Only a delusional liberal America-hater sees things as twisted as you. That is why you are an all-American, red, white and blue traitor to your birthright like the rest of the core activists in the democrap party around you.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

How many innocent civilians... as innocent as the WTC civilians... have to die before you see  the USA killing in Iraq, as terrorism.

Every day we kill more Muslim civilians, we create more terrorists who will want to retaliate, just as America wants to retaliate against AlQaeda.

As far as the Sept 11th attacks... Iraq is totally innocent of any part in those attacks... yet we killed hundreds of thousands of civilians in Iraq, and justify that action with rage against the WTC terrorists.

Killing is killing.  There is no JUST CAUSE for killing Iraqi civilians, just as there is no JUST CAUSE for killing American civilians in NYC.

Bigots have no problem killing Muslims...after all, they are "not like us", they are "different", their lives don't have any 'value' for us.
Every civilian we kill, creates MORE TERRORISTS, not less.  Every time we hit (mistakenly or on purpose) civilian targets, we breed a whole new generation of dedicated terrorists, and guarantee that our kids and grandkids will continue to suffer from our actions.

Civilian casualties have been a part of war since day one... this is nothing new, Box, so stop trying to say that it is..

From the London Blitz, to the bombing of Dresden and Hamburg, to the Bataan death march, nothing has changed much. This is not unprecedented. If there is a choice between a foreign civilian and an American Soldier, I'll choose the soldier every time.
I know you have no problem sacrificing your countrymen for foreign civilians, but I don't

***Not true.  Most wars of history were fought with few or limited casualties.  Modern war includes civilians as a part of the war.***

From the London Blitz, to the bombing of Dresden and Hamburg, to the Bataan death march, nothing has changed much. This is not unprecedented.

***Dresden... a good choice... If the USA had lost the war, your military and political leaders would have been executed for war crimes because of the unnecessary civilian casualties in Dresden & Tokyo.***

If there is a choice between a foreign civilian and an American Soldier, I'll choose the soldier every time.
I know you have no problem sacrificing your countrymen for foreign civilians, but I don't

I also opt for a civilian casualty in place of an American soldier, (I've had to make those choices) but to kill a few hundred thousand civilians... is not war.  It's murder.

Box..Oh so now, you'd rather have seen Hitler win the war because we took out more enemy civilians..
You probably would have , since it seems all you care about is punishing Americans.
Its amazing you still live in this Country since you hate it so much...but there's the rub...this is one of the few places you can espouse such disdain, and still live to tell about it.

So follow this twisted logic...
There were NO or almost no AlQaeda in Iraq... No WMD's, NO Nuke threat... nothing!
Iraq had nothing to do with the WTC attacks...
Bush invaded Iraq for OIL, not terrorists...
Since invading Iraq, AlQaeda has moved into Iraq in large numbers and used the war to boost recruitment.

Tell me again who we would be fighting here if we didn't invade Iraq???
Who???

Saddam's army??? not likely!  If we weren't killing Iraqi's... who would we be fighting here in the USA???

Sounds good on a conservative talk show, but if we never went to Iraq... we would be much safer as a country, and our enemies would be much weaker.

I've already said the invasion of Iraq was unnecessary, Sadaam was impotent outside his own country.
You say we invaded for Oil, I asked you a while ago to provide proof and profit FACTS... still waiting
But we have to deal with now, not what you hoped it would be...I'd just as soon pull all the Iraq troops out tomorrow, and redeploy them to Southern Afghanistan and Northern Pakistan. Take out the Taliban once and for all. Tell Pakistan if they get in the way, we'll take them out too.
