I heard that the town isn't going to defend the lawsuit and that salamone's case will be won without him even having to go to court

the Town Board voted down the list of employees entitled to the retirement incentive  .. so .. technically the
law suit is meaningless --- no one was "damaged"

This just means that no one is approved to take this incentive at this time.  There can always be another resolution naming the same or different people to the incentive.  The fact that the incentive was approved in the illegal meeting means that, until the courts decide either way, they can still come with another resolution when the Supervisor decides to show up for the Town Board meeting and they could add people to the list, so there is still the chance for people to be "damaged."

No, the problem is they didn't have their 3rd accomplice in town (DelGallo).

I think the title of this thread -- Salamone vs. Rotterdam -- is all the reason that folks need to vote
for Wayne Calder for Town Council.       Mr. Calder is FOR  Rotterdam .... for building it up ... working
positively and constructively WITH the residents to keep moving the town forward.    Mr. Salamone has
a track record of  verbally tearing down our town and its officials ... no track record of working WITH or FOR
the residents.    No record - thatI know of - of community service.
The choice is clear  ..

Yeah that's a winner.  She had a zillion lines and still lost to Eunie...and if I were Lynn and you were touting me, I would run in the other direction.  You haven't come up with a winner in years--give it up and let someone else do it.

When you are running against a person that willingly and admittedly notarized documents for dead relatives that reduce your taxes - a zillion and one lines would have trouble winning against that incumbent.

The Town Clerk NEVER   "willingly" notarized documents for dead persons ... she was set up by GOP.

Setup by an entire party? That's amazing.  All the years she's been doing this job, she couldn't see the trees 'for the forest?

Did she sign it, yes or no? Yes.
Did she know it was wrong to violate the law? Yes.
Did anyone force her to sign it? No.
Did someone "set her up"? Dunno, prove that they did.  So far, nobody's been able to offer any proof that she was "set up".

Did she notarize a document without the person present?  YES!  Was she coerced into notarizing it? NO!  So she "WILLINGLY" notarized a document without the person present.

If it was a set up, it wasn't very complex.  Like boomer said, the Rotterdam Republicans can barely keep their own party together and agree on supporting a candidate, but they can pull it together long enough to set up the Town Clerk.  Are you serious?

If our current Town Clerk decides to sit home for the next 3 years, Rotterdam will certainly be labeled the laughing stock of the Capital Region.   This would be a despicable action and I cannot imagine anyone who claimed to be such a dedicated public servant could possibly consider doing this.   The current adminstration needs to seriously review this situation and get the office of Town Clerk squared away.   The taxpayers deserve to have a "working" Clerk!

As for Lynn F and the various party lines she represented, it was a great representation of residents who wanted change in the TC office.  The only reason the EE won the election again is because of the favors she has granted over the years...handicap tags, notarized signatures, waiving charges for FOIL requests (and I can attest to the free FOILs).
