Hey.....it was the muslims who KILLED 3,000 AMERICANS on 9/11. It was the muslims who attacked the Cole. It was the muslims who want extinction of the JEWS. It was the muslims who are calling for jihad!! It was the muslims who beheaded americans and hung their bodies out for the world to see. It was the muslims who burned our flag. So don't make an american feel guilty for their actions.....for what the muslims started!!!
And obviously some people don't see this as a political ploy by the muslims to silence americans!!! The muslims are now attempting to dumb down our military!!!! If I buy 50 korans and choose to burn them............I WILL........BECAUSE I CAN AS AN AMERICAN!!
My neighbor's son in law is in Afghanistan now. He was in Iraq 2 years ago. Our wo/men in uniform are well equipped for ANYTHING!!! THEY know what they are up against. And they are doing it so americans will have the freedom to burn whatever they want!!!
If they are muslim sympathizers.........well then they shouldn't be there!! IMHO

Hmmm...This Pastor has the RIGHT to burn the Koran, BUT,,,the question is, should he burn the Koran? That sounds just like the debate about the building of the ground zero Mosque. We know it's legally right, but is it right? I personally would have to say, even though he has the CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to burn the Koran - out of consideration of those it might offend, he shouldn't do it. Boomer, Box, aren't you going to defend him with the Constitution? Aren't you going to condemn General Patreaus for his involvement in a freedom of religion issue? Screaming SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE! The highest ranking general in the U.S. Military and a State Department official condemning a private citizen exercising his rights protected under the Constitution. Nobody sees a problem with that? Scary. |

Cis--the only thing that is scary is that you and your friends cannot seem to understand that there are no words strong enough to denouce this action by this fundametalist church. Odd you folks do not seem to have any common sense. |

Personally, I wouldn't care if Scott Tissue started printing the Koran on their toilet paper, but if his short sighted nonsense is going to put so much as a single American in harm's way, it's not worth it.
Doesn't anyone remember how looney those primatives went over a single cartoon?
If he is so convinced that what he does is right and Islam is evil, why don't we collect some money and buy him a one way ticket to Afghanistan? Preaching to US Christians seems a little bit redundant and a waste of talent. This man needs to be heard by the right people. Let us send him to the people he'd like to convince that their ways are wrong. He has nothing to fear as I'm sure THE LORD will protect him on this holy mission. |

Odd that you folks don't have any common sense when it comes to america's constitutional right to 'freedom of religion'. Defending a nation of people who have killed and beheaded thousands of americans and demonize your own fellow countrymen is just what they were out to accomplish. Last I knew, this 'fundamentalist church' didn't kill or behead any americans OR muslims for that matter. |

I think strapping bombs to their children and blowing themselve up, and flying planes into skyscrapers killing 3000 Americans in the name of Allah may have put their fellow Muslims in harms way.
One nutty pastor in Florida burning Korans shouldn't condemn a whole nation. Isn't that right box and boomer. He is just a fringe radical, he does't represent the entire nation. Isn't that the argument you use to defend islam? Why can't we demand the same from these barbarians. They need to show tolerance.
That's the problem with you liberals. You condemn any American that is offended by the intolerance and even violence committed by radical Muslims, yet you condone the outrage by radical Muslims toward America and condemn the American pastor for exercising his Constitutional rights.
You guys are a** backwards. |

So his church is about to be repossessed by the bank, and now, nine years after 9/11, he's decided that Islam is a dangerous threat, and he needs to bring attention to this with an inflammatory stunt? WHAT A COINCIDENCE!He only has about 50 people in his congregation, and even half of them are not on board with this stupidity. The guy is a self serving, selfish charlatan who doesn't care who suffers, as long as he profits. So, yeah, he's a douche. But if people set off bombs over this, or otherwise riot and throw tantrums (which they will) remember that they are the REAL evil ones, not the idiot that set some scraps of paper aflame. This the monster you're throwing your support behind. http://www.gainesville.com/article/20090727/ARTICLES/907271006?p=1&tc=pghttp://www.topix.com/forum/city/gainesville-fl/TFKP4EG8R3D46JVEMfast forward to :57 http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_822700&v=n3-NpoYgZh8&feature=ivBut I know by now, you're all asking, can I send him some of MY money? No nobody needs to throw bombs here or at our kids in Afghanistan. What we need to do is come together to support moderate Muslims to live in this country and pray in this country. |

And what the moderate Muslims need to do is to stand up...LOUDLY, against radical Islam. I would gladly stand with them if they are sincere.. However, what I have mostly heard is silence. |
