Edgewood's building on Altamont Avenue has been sold. Contents have been removed. Supposedly it will not be a restaurant / food establishment - more details I'm sure will be coming soon |

I heard it will be something "bigger" than a restaurant .. a whole new building. |

I don't believe I ever had an occassion to go into the Edgewood. What type of establishment was it? Was it a sit down restaurant? A place for banquets? A Bar? |

It was a nice bar with live music, a hall to have a wedding or big gathering, and a place to have dinner as well. |

I was just wondering if this might give more reason to put up the bar at the corner of Altamont and Curry, as a replacement. |

The Edgewood was a restaurant and a place for banquets. Its best days were propbably WAAAY back in the 60's ... by the time I attended my Junior Prom there in 1979, it was on its way down hill. I recall that the food that they served for our prom was inedible. |

Mallozzi's is the new Edgewood now! At least rotterdam was able to still offer a banquet house. |

My grandpa told me that's why Joe Suhrada hates the Mallozzi's. They put his family (Ademac) out of business. Any truth to that scenerio or was the Edgewood going down hill before the Mallozzi's? Gramps tells me that the Democrats that John Kirvin headed made the Edgewood their second home. Any truth to that? Something about political fundraisers, dinners, rallys etc. You name it the Democrats had at the Edgewood. Why the hate though Joe? Was it more than competition? |

Yeah, I heard he hated them so bad that he spent about 11,000 bucks at Mallozzis having parties for his family about 10 years ago! Wow, you have some good info there, typically Rotterdam in quality. |

The Edgewood was closed back ten years ago. Was it a political party or a wedding, bar mitzvah, keg party, funnel party. I just heard that Joe Suhrada is a person full of hate, vindictivness and Prozac over the Mallozzi family operations? |

Mallozis had keg parties and funnel parties? Wow, I didn't know they had things like that there...yeah, must be something your grandpa told you before he molested you! Is that why you are so tormented? Did he touch you when you sat in his lap? |
