Glenn Beck promised there wouldn't "be a dry eye in the house" after his big speech today at the Lincoln Memorial for his "Restoring Honor" rally -- because, you know, it was going to be "so stirring."
Well, Glenn Beck's eyes certainly weren't dry. He started weeping while telling the crowd that somewhere out there was "the next George Washington". (-- I mostly thought I saw "the next Timothy McVeigh.)
When I saw pan shots of the crowd -- it was one of the whitest crowds in D.C. in recent memory.

I wonder how many of the TeaBaggers at Beck's "Restoring Our Honor" Rally realize the donations they gave are going to pay for the event first and not just to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. "Thanks for the donations.... suckers." Gotta' line Sarah's pockets before those military families get any help, but Beck IS a businessman... and this TeaPartie event IS a business!

Officials do not make crowd estimates because they are unreliable and can be controversial, but event organizers put the number of attendees at 500,000; NBC News said it was closer to 300,000, but by any measure it was a large turnout. The crowd stretched from the Lincoln Memorial to the Washington Monument.

Yeah, and your point??? Have you ever looked at the demographics of America? What am I saying, of course you haven't. Fact would just get in the way of your rhetoric.
Beck talks faith in rally coinciding with anniversary of King's speech
By the CNN Wire staff
Washington (CNN) -- In what resembled more a revival than a political rally, conservative talk show host Glenn Beck urged the large crowds at his "Restoring Honor" event Saturday to "turn back to God" and return America to the values on which it was founded.
"Something beyond imagination is happening," he told participants who packed the National Mall in Washington. "America today begins to turn back to God. For too long, this country has wandered in darkness."
The rally drew fire for its timing and location.
People filled the park by the Lincoln Memorial's reflecting pool, in the shadows and echoes of the most pivotal civil rights address in America's history -- the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s famous "I Have a Dream" speech, which he delivered there 47 years ago.
Some of those who marched with King said Beck had usurped the day for his own political gain. The Rev. Jesse Jackson told CNN that Beck was mimicking King and "humiliating the tradition."
Other civil rights activists gathered nearby with the Rev. Al Sharpton and his National Action Network in a "Reclaim the Dream" rally. Participants marched from a high school in northwest Washington, D.C., to the site of the future Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial, just a few blocks from the Lincoln Memorial.
Beck said the site of his rally was appropriate to reflect on the legacy of King, "the man who stood down on those stairs and gave his life for everyone's right to have a dream."..................>>>>..................>>>>....................http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/08/28/glenn.beck.rally/index.html?hpt=T2
Turnout Strong as Beck Rallies Americans to Restore 'Honor' to the Nation Published August 28, 2010 | FoxNews.com
Huge crowds at Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" freedom rally -- organized to give thanks to U.S. troops -- left Washington, D.C., on Saturday night pleased by the theme and the turnout – as thousands in attendance returned home carrying a message of making America better.
The rally -- which Beck and other organizers said they they didn't want labeled as such because they wanted the event to remain non-political -- focused on healing the scars that the nation has suffered as a result of its disreputable moments in history.
"Let's be honest, if you look at history, America has been both terribly good, and terribly bad. It has been both, but we concentrate on the bad instead of learning from the bad and repairing the bad," said Beck, who has a radio show and is host of Fox News' "Glenn Beck."
"We have a choice today, to either let those scars crush us or redeem us," he said, speaking from the Lincoln Memorial, where Martin Luther King, Jr., gave his "I Have a Dream" speech 47 years earlier.
Beck turned the heads of the estimated crowd toward the opposite end of the Lincoln Memorial to make his point.
"If you look at the Washington Monument, you might notice its scars. ... a quarter of the way up it changes color. Look at it. Look at its scars. How did the scar get there? They stopped building it in the Civil War. And when the war was over, they began again. No one sees the scars of the Washington Memorial, the Washington Monument; we see what it stands for," he said.
Beck had tried to fight off accusations that the event -- which attracted many supporters of smaller government and lower taxes -- was meant to be political. He specifically asked that the audience not bring political signs, and for the most part people seemed to cooperate with the request. ...................>>>>.......................>>>>....................http://www.foxnews.com/politic.....ent/?test=latestnews

You're either moderately retarded, suffering from an advanced form of cognitive dissonance, or an outright liar, that like most of your ilk, believes that if you repeat the same lie enough times, it will go down in history as being truth.
Probably all three.
NBC News said it was closer to 300,000? NBC never stated any such thing. They merely stated that "a permit was applied for, a crowd UP TO 300,000.
I'm surprised you quoted those librul, mainstream media, Kenyan kissing commies in the first place. I guess it must have been more convenient than looking anything up on your own.
An independent source, that is widely used by anybody with any sense of ethics, or integrity (not Fox), put it at 87,000 +/- 5%.

Washington officials do not make crowd estimates, but NBC News estimated the turnout at 300,000, while Mr. Beck offered a range of 300,000 to 650,000. By any measure it was a large turnout.
The New York Times described the crowd merely as "enormous and impassioned." ABC was more specific, estimating the attendance at Beck's Restoring Honor Rally in the "hundreds of thousands." AP chimed in at "tens of thousands."
Whether the attendance was 300,000 or one million, (you decide) the huge crowd gathered to hear conservative commentator Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and other notables, offered a compelling contrast to another rally being held across town held by Al Sharpton.
An estimated 3,000, most of whom were African-Americans, attended a rally/march hosted by Al Sharpton to commemorate the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King's famous "I Have A Dream" speech. Sharpton railed against the Tea Party as he informed the crowd that MLK's dream "has not been achieved."
Seems as NBC had to move away from CBS' outrageously low number of 87K. When distorting the news, at least NBC low balls it within the ballpark - 300K.
As the number goes up, the libs like Tommy and Box will switch from "nobody showed up" to "they were a bunch of white Christian Islamaracisthomophoic bigots".
