The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

What a crock of crap, there is no central control of the Tea Party it is made up of groups from all over the country that answer to no one and even the various Tea Parties don't agree with each other.

What would it cost to promote, manage, organize, advertise, transport, coordinate and combine TeaBaggers from across the country into a rally in DC?

Someone is backing the TeaBagger rallies like the ones scheduled in DC... Someone pays millions in costs... aren't you interested WHO?
Who gains by TeaBaggers and Who loses?

The Civil Rights marches in DC cost millions donated by those who wanted to promote racial integration... it certainly wasn't free.
TeaBaggers may look at their local party as a 'grass roots' movement, but with out the millionaires like the Kochs, there would be no TeaParty.

Box,

You know what is worst than being ingnorant? Being misinformed.  Keith Olberman is not a news man.  He editorializes and puts out hit pieces that further his leftist agenda.  And to be fair, Sean Hannity does the same thing for the right.  Both TV personalities report with a heavy bias.

I hope you don't go through life taking what these charlatans feed you as gospel.

Fox Fanatics will bristle at any news other than that which  spews from their Beloved Fixed News.

So forget Olberman.

First of all the rally in DC this weekend won't involve politics and will strive to instill the value of honor back into the people of the USA. We need candidates of both parties that believe in telling the truth when they campaign, have honorable character, and will do what they say when they are elected to office. Right now there are politicians elected to Congress who lie, cheat and steal for personal gain and who could care less about the people who elected them. This has to change and that's why the Tea Party was formed to help bring about that change. The Tea Party is made up of Reps, Dems, and Ind who all feel that this country in headed in the wrong direction and are trying to correct it. Many of those who attended the Tea Party rally pay their own way a concept that groups like Acorn, SEIU, Move On, and others can't imagine doing since they depend on the government or political group to supply all their needs.

TeaBaggers are made up of Conservatives and promote Conservatives values.
You can always find a few Dems or Inds but look at this "grass roots" group
Anti Choice or leave.
Anti Gay or leave
Anti Health Care or leave
Anti Mosque or Leave.

Sound like any group you know??? Conservative values with an attitude.

Teabaggers are not taking votes from Democrats, they are taking votes from traditional Republicans because they feel the GOP isn't Right Enough.

When I asked the organizer of a local TeaBag party why all their views were Conservative... his response... "DUHHH we're a Conservative movement.. of course they are Conservative."

TeaBaggers will  follow the money all the way to DC, to meet their owners.

You're wrong on your assumptions Box as you always paint everything with a broad brush. The real issues that the Tea Party favors is smaller government, lower taxes, and a whole lot less spending and yes anti health-care. The Tea Party would like to correct all the bad parts of the bill and to keep the parts that are really needed like providing health-care to those who don't have it and have pre-existing conditions. Also to provide affordable health-care to those with lower incomes without forcing the closing of hospitals and causing doctors to leave their practices.

According to a local TeaBag Party blog, they still have seats on a bus to the Sept 11th rally and the price is FREE!

HUH?  Someone paid for my seat if I wanted to go... but WHO?  Someone paid for the box lunch, the advertising, promotion  the bus, driver etc.
The Someone who paid... has an agenda, and it may not match the "grass roots" baggers.

The Tea Party sends out e-mails asking for donations to fund their activities just like any other club or organization does. The Tea Party wants nothing to do with organized politics and the reason being it was the politicians of both parties that got us into this mess. Time to send them home for a retirement as they've done enough damage to the country already.

When you're dealing with grass roots organizations, there is bound to be mis-steps! No excuses here, just the common sense facts. I'msure there are some tea party people who are jumping on the band wagon 'just because'. But that wasn't and still isn't the main reason for the movement.

The grass roots tea partiers are a mix of reps, cons, dems and blanks, blacks and whites. Most looking for representation from people that can deliver small and less intrusive government.

It's really just that simple!

Mis-steps? Sure. Bumpy roads? Sure. But this country didn't become the great nation that it was is over a beer and pretzels. It took many mis-steps and acquired many bumpy roads.

A century or two ago this movement would have become a full fledged revolt with gun in hand! Today it is a mere protest!!

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
