Ron Paul breaks with GOP on New York mosque:
"The opposition ‘is all about hate and Islamaphobia."

Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), a tea party favorite and perennial GOP presidential candidate, strongly condemned his “fellow conservatives” for opposing the proposed Park 51 Islamic community center near Ground Zero.

The outcry over the mosque “implies that Islam alone was responsible for the 9/11 attacks,” Paul said, explaining that the rights of minorities must be protected, even when it’s unpopular. Ultimately, Paul argues that the opposition to the mosque “is all about hate and Islamaphobia,” stoked by “neo-conservatives” who “never miss a chance to use hatred toward Muslims to rally support for the ill conceived preventative wars:”

This is all about hate and Islamaphobia.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Ron Paul gives Libertarianism a bad name... he's a kook.

Boxy....is that YOU quoting ron paul????? I'm shocked! Have you read his books? I have! I appreciate his freedom to voice his support of the mosque....however your ideology and paul's ideology are about as far away as the west is to the east! Although he has some good points that I tend to agree with, Paul boarders on the line of protectionism and an isolationist! Agree?

Ron Paul and I agree on a number of issues... We both are:
Pro choice
anti war (Iraq)
Pro Peace
Pro US Constitution
Anti govt owning businesses & Corporate welfare
Pro human rights (gay rights womens rights, marriage rights)
And both of us can see that this anti Mosque masquerade is no more than Conservative politics to run with in November.

I too agree with many of Paul's issues. However, the all over picture of his insight causes me pause. He envisions a country with closed boarders and a society allowed to do practically anything they see fit. Almost a chaotic society. He's as close as you can get to being an isolationist.

I do believe that there are many of his insights that could well be incorporated into our present form of government. However, most will never come to fruition as the globalist would stop his 'protectionism agenda. IMHO

The plebs are led to believe the smoke shadow of "it's their fault and I'm offended" if left to run with this the leaders have no one to blame but themselves......if Islam was at war with Christendom your
church would have been the target.....it was an in-fight of those in the policy/money making seats.......It was an "I want what you have. You cant disown me as a family member. I will stir up the
'religious'."

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
