I'd like to see a Christian-Jewish Interfaith Center built next door to the mosque in Mecca.

It would be a very positive step in "building bridges" with the Muslim world.  As a matter of fact, it would be bigoted not to advocate for such an action of "tolerance" and "diversity".

But as you may already know, in left wing America - bigots, racists, and sexist can only be - white, Christian, and male.

Newsflash-Non Muslims are prohibited from setting foot into Mecca or Medina. Who would use this new center? Islam tolerates no diversity. Any Christian entering Mecca would be immediately arrested and probably beheaded.

Maybe it's you Boomer who doesn't understand the issue, why should everyone else have to bend and change to the Muslim way when Muslims are rigid and allow no change.

I'd like to see a Christian-Jewish Interfaith Center built next door to the mosque in Mecca.

Mecca can do what they want.  Saudi Arabia can pass all the laws they feel is right for their country.
What does that have to do with the USA or the US Constitution.

Follow this please...
If the (Catholic) COUNTRY of the Vatican, passed a law banning all non Christians from entering the Vatican...
Should the USA pass a law Banning all Catholics from the USA???
Should the USA pass a law banning all Catholic Churches???

If tomorrow a band of 11 Right Wing Catholic Radicals attacked the Washington Monument in DC and destroyed it, killing a few thousand people, calming "US injustice against Catholics" as their cause...
Would you ban a Catholic Church from being built in DC???

There seems to be a Right Wing Mental Block on this issues... Muslims are bad until proven otherwise.  All other religions, not so much.

Box,

Where are you getting that this is a Constitutional issue?  I think everybody is in agreement, THE MOSQUE CAN BE BUILT IN PROPOSED LOCATION LEGALLY.

What people are ASKING, is for the Mosque not to be built on Ground Zero in the name of sensitivity and compassion toward the 70% who think the Mosque is inappropriate in the place where so many lives were lost in the name of Islam(extremist or otherwise).  What you and the rest of the libs are doing, is telling the 70% of people that feel the Mosque should not be built there to shove their feelings up their asses, and calling them bigots for speaking out.

Nobody's "banning" the Mosque from being built.  They are making a plea for it to be built outside of Ground Zero.  We will see just how tolerant and understanding the practitioners of peace are toward their fellow countrymen's feelings.(justified or not)

Mr. Obama made it clear where he stands on this issue.

You gotta be kidding!

This 'controversy' is a manufactured tempest.
Fox promoted this... every Conservative politician who is looking for a cheap vote...
every hooker in NYC who is looking for a 'sympathy vote' is promoting this issue.

ADVERTISING WORKS!  Just ask proctor and gamble!

Where is your so called "sensitivity and compassion" for every Muslim in America who is being painted as a Terrorists because of this issue?
When Timothy McVeigh blew up the Federal Building in Ok city, for days Muslims were being blamed for the attack.
Not TERRORISTS, BUT MUSLIMS.

There was no outcry against Christians when it was discovered that the Federal Building was blown up by a Christian White McVeigh instead of a brown Abdul Muslim.

In American every Muslim kid is a suspect, every Muslim businessman suffers a loss because of his religion, every day in America Bigotry is on the rise and your lame a$$"SENSITIVITY & COMPASSION" is no where in sight.

So we're now in agreement, this isn't a Constitutional or "banning Mosque" issue?  Good.

It's a bigoted Americans issue.

Where do you come up with this crap?  Who's painting every Muslim as a Terrorist?  I think you're over stating things, if not down right making sh*t up.

McVeigh,,,really?  Didn't know he was a part of a fanatical Christian wing with an elaborate well funded terror network and a history of blowing up federal buildings.  How many followers did he have?  Who was funding McVeigh?  Did McVeigh have any foreign nations supporting him?

Let's join reality Box.

You are so far from real life reality that it is scary to hear you speak! You are working with people 'hand picked' to further yours and their agenda! There's a sucker in every crowd....and they found one in you!

Why don't you talk to the 'real people'? The New York city firefighters and the NYPD. If you did, you would be singing a different tune. And your work has obviously done 'squat'! How much of taxpayers money went into this so called interfaith agenda? Same amount that went into the African-American agenda? Like that has helped, huh? Hope you can find another group to victimize!

But what the hell....it's a job!! And victimizing brings job security....right? That's what liberals do. They create victims so they can define their worth!

We keep talking about 'GROUND ZERO' as if it is a holy mecca.......it's almost hindu in it's thinking.......the longer we keep our idols/icons the slower
we become and the more backward......what do we think happened to Europe in the Dark Ages??????

the ground zero issue has nothing to do with muslim......all governments(christian, muslim, jewish etc backgrounds) like to 'hide' their money/policies
behind the current 'hot religion'.........what do we think happened to Rome and how Roman Catholicism came to be.......

THEY WANTED THE TAX $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I never said the Mosque is a part of a fanatical wing.  Let me try to clairify, New Yorkers and Americans have a vivid memories of 19 Arab Muslims that flew commercial airplanes into the WTC in the name of Allah.  What Americans and New Yorkers are ASKING, is that this Mosque be built outside of Ground Zero so it isn't a constant reminder of who and why these planes were flown into the WTC killing 3000 innocent people.

But, like a typical liberal, you feel the need to tell people how they should and shouldn't feel.  And if they don't fall in line with your thinking, you marginalize them by calling them bigots.  You know the game; you're a homophobe if you think marriage is between a man and a women, an islamaphobe if you think the Mosque should be moved from Ground Zero, your a racist if you oppose Obama policy.  It's the same ole tired game.

As we seen on the other thread, Dr. Laura has been the recent victim of the Neo Liberal Fascism.

As prostitution is considered the oldest profession on earth so is religion, and they all make it a 'profession' just like the politicians......
