A very good point!

So if these terrorists were Christians and killed in the name of Christ...
Would you shut down any Christian church being built???
Would you be quoting all the hate scripts in the Christian Bible in justification of your hatred of the Christians???

Damn straight I would.  If there was an equivalent Christian group as well armed as Hamas, Hezbollah or Al Qaeda that has a track record of lobbing RPG's into Israel, training in the dessert with AK-47, video taping the cutting off of peoples heads while reading the New Testament, and calling for all Christians to rise up against Americans in the name of Jesus Christ. I would be the first to demand the leadership of the Christian Church to cooperate with the civilized people of the world to help snuff out those radicals in their religion.  And if moderate Christians are unable to understand the damage the radicals in their religion are doing to their good name and were unable to sympathize with those pleading for the Church NOT to be built.  Then I would question the motives of that so-called moderate Christian.

It's the same old Islamophobia... the only good Muslim is a dead Muslim.
You condemn millions of Muslims by automatically suspect them of being "Hamas, Hezbollah or Al Qaeda"!  But when the Catholic IRA blew up buildings in N Ireland, was the Pope in Rome responsible??? Or your local Catholic parish priest?
Those IRA members were terrorists and also Catholic.
those AlQaeda members were terrorists, and also Muslim.
You don't condemn all Catholics but you do condemn all Muslims.

You just keep reinforcing your bigotry.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

If I was an Englishman in Northern Ireland, I would certainly be profiling the Irish since they have the history of bombing English interests.

FYI, the Irish Republican Army(IRA) was a nationalist movement not a Catholic conquest to spread Catholicism.  It just so happened Northern Ireland was mostly Catholic. It's one of the biggest lies and misconceptions.  The fighting was between the Unionist(mostly protestant) and Nationalist(mostly catholic), and the IRA didn't discriminate, it had both Protestant and Catholic members.

So given your terrible example, since the IRA wasn't a religious conquest, I would profile Irish Catholics because they were predominant in Northern Ireland and they were the group that felt they were not getting fair representation in the government and rioting in the streets.

My so-called "islamophobia" is at least steeped in fact and reality.  Your Irish Catholic example in attempt to make all things relative is completely inaccurate and false.
