The Next Governor of NY State was in Amsterdam yesterday, presenting his vision for NY's future including:
~ Implementation of a spending cap and state public employee salary freeze as part of a one-year emergency financial plan.

~No increase in personal or corporate income taxes or sales taxes.

~A local property tax cap.

~Elimination of some school district and municipal mandates.

~ Right-sizing government:

~ Reduce the number of state agencies, authorities and commissions by 20 percent.

~ Make it easier to consolidate and share services between local governments.

~ Protection of a woman's right to choose.

~Marriage equality.

~Enacting of tough anti-discrimination laws.

~Continued opposition of the death penalty.

~ The ultimate goal, Cuomo said, is to create jobs.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
