PERSPECTIVE
Will Washington's Failures Lead To Second American Revolution?
By ERNEST S. CHRISTIAN AND GARY A ROBBINS

The Internet is a large-scale version of the "Committees of Correspondence" that led to the first American Revolution — and with Washington's failings now so obvious and awful, it may lead to another.

People are asking, "Is the government doing us more harm than good? Should we change what it does and the way it does it?"

Pruning the power of government begins with the imperial presidency.

Too many overreaching laws give the president too much discretion to make too many open-ended rules controlling too many aspects of our lives. There's no end to the harm an out-of-control president can do.

Bill Clinton lowered the culture, moral tone and strength of the nation — and left America vulnerable to attack. When it came, George W. Bush stood up for America, albeit sometimes clumsily.

Barack Obama, however, has pulled off the ultimate switcheroo: He's diminishing America from within — so far, successfully...................>>>>.......................>>>>.................http://www.investors.com/NewsA.....can-Revolution-.aspx

A strictly Conservative View!

Real Americans have the opposite position on GWB!

Bush bankrupted our economy...
Invaded Iraq in a quest for OIL...(costing 4300 American lives)
Ran away from the Real Enemy Bin Laden in Afghanistan...
Endangered US troops for a generation with his Policy of Torture...

The best thing that I can say about GWB is his Immigration Policy... (that he never implemented)

Compare what Amrerica thinks of Bill Clinton and GWB... especially "lowered strength of the nation".

Before the 2000 elections, polls in America were split between Al Gore and GWB... but when asked if Bill Clinton were among the choices, Clinton would beat both choices by a huge margin.
America still feels the same today.

My error MT.  You are correct... the post stated the Right Wing 'perspective' exactly!

Precisely, EmpTee, how is Barack Obama 'diminishing America from within' in ways that were not left for him by the previous administration?  Now you can serve up that nonsense that a president's policies only have a limited life, so Dubya's off the hook, but we're still benefiting from FDR stuff, like Social Security, so that argument falters.  Explain how President Obama has done this, and do so while excluding the horrendous financial mess the previous administration left in its wake.  It's amazing that in 2001 Alan Greenspan's greatest concern was that by 2008 all the national debt that could have been paid off would have been paid off, and that the US government would be faced with a $500,000,000,000 annual surplus.  That would make the government the key player in the financial markets, and that scared the hell out of Greenspan (read his book).  Dubya fixed that in 2002 by getting the red ink flowing massively (remember that $350 check he got you so you'd vote for him?)

As an aside, since July 12 I've been going up to the American Electric door at every 10 AM opportunity, and no one has challenged me about being a 'white boy.'  How do you explain that given your post http://www.rotterdamny.net/m-1278725895/s-9/highlight-American+Electric/#num9?  If I'd known you were back in town, I'd have gone out of my way to extend special greetings to you.  So from the experience of a dozen visits I must conclude that there's more to this than you being just a "white boy."  Like maybe you made it up? Like when you were claiming to be an LLC but weren't one, or when you were claiming your mom was in the IC ward, but wasn't, or like when you were claiming that you were the owner of Zollinger's message board but weren't.  Hard to tell when the perigee of your orbit is nearest the truth, even when knowing that they almost never coincide. Have a nice day!

Hmmm... 20 days since the previous post and EmpTee has not responded.  Golly, gosh! What a surprise!!!! (Read 'predictable behavior.')  If you are, as you claim, "Out of NY and LOVING it!" then why are you still inflicting yourself upon the state, and particularly this site?  Hmmmm?  (Oh, gosh - he's living in a town populated by Marine aviators - maybe that would explain it?)
